New Virtual Tea Tastings FREE! #2
Hi, I have one thing to clear up before writing my review. The Milk Chocolate Caramel on your site is a black tea base and the one listed in Steepster is a green tea base. So, which was sent out? I just added a black base to Steepster but I wanted to make sure which was the one I have (it looks black but tasted kind of green to me). I need the other ingredients too, I have allergies to rooibos, honeybush.
Bonnie,
just checked the steepster and it shows as a black tea base both in description and marked as black tea. I do not see a green tea based one listed.
go to http://www.steapshoppe.com/loose-tea/milk-chocolate-flowery-assam-black-tea.html this will give you all the ingredients in the tea.

I am finding I am surprised by how deep of a cup this is – bold – dark – but definitely a MILK chocolate – its just quite robust. Oh I am having the milk chocolate caramel at the moment by the way.
Milk chocolate flavor with caramel after swallowing, very good
Chocolate Chai was awesome!! the pepper in there was most excellent I really enjoyed it
I’ve never had pepper in a tea (but I might have recently ordered some that I haven’t tried yet). Sounds tasty!
it was a very nice touch, i love dark chocolate candy bars with cayanne pepper so I was not new to such a great combination
I find that the caramel notes come out more in the after taste – they are present in the sip – but they build in the after taste.
I noticed that many people either go the caramel or a honey like flavor that you described. I wonder if it has to do with the type of sweetener used or if one was used at all.
I did not use a sweetener. I feel the honey flavor is still there yet it has tamed since the first time I sampled it.
I got a honey/milky note too moreso than straight-up caramel, but it was still quite tasty!
Milk chocolate caramel definitely has the milky feeling/taste!
Did you enjoy it? Was the caramel present for you or did you experience more of a honey flavor?
Hmm. Actually now that you mention it that might be a bit closer, I’m also not sure how much of the chocolate I got. It is tasty though!
I got all caramel goodness when it was unsweet, sweeten and the milk chocolate shows
I smelled by cup after drinking it all and I can smell the caramel there, didn’t taste it a bunch. Maybe I’m used to a different caramel flavor, more artificial?
Whiskey flavors come through near the end, unsweet and slightly cooled, very nice :)
