Teavana Youthberry Tea Substitute

I’m an avid Teavana lover so just want to say that there is nothing bad about liking their tea. Not everyone likes the same places. When I go there, knowing their sales tactics, I just stay strong and they back off. I have also tried to find alternates to my favorite from there and it just isn’t the same. I think I wasted more money searching for alternates.

I could suggest looking at Davids Tea as they do alot with candied pieces in their teas. There is Mango Madness but it seems the same price as Teavana. Probably because it’s a white tea:
ingredients – Apple pieces, white Bai Mu Dan tea, orange peel, pineapple cubes, mango cubes, mango, pineapple, orange slices, freeze dried tangerine pieces, safflower petals, freeze dried strawberry pieces, marigold blossoms, artificial flavouring*.

When it comes down to it, I don’t feel that Teavana is anymore expensive than Davids or my other favorite places. I can understand that you might not want to get your daughter attached to it though!

Another place I use is TeaSource. They have an Orange Blossom Special tea $4.39 for 2oz that you might like:
An aromatic, citrusy, and refreshing herbal blend. Contains: orange peel, apple pieces, hibiscus blossoms, rose hip peel, flavor.

Oh wow, are you kidding me?? You were a HUGE help — thank you so much!!!! I’ll check TeaSource for their orange blossom blend; that price is much more manageable for me. Maybe I can “cut” the Teavana blend with the Orange Blossom blend to stretch it a bit further. Thanks again!!

Oh yes, that’ll probably work! At Teavana their sample is the Youthberry mixed with the Wild orange blossom.

You might also check out Fusion Teas – they have GREAT blends. Their Fruit Tisanes might be particularly interesting. I’ve tried their Turkish Apple Vanilla – not quite what you’re looking for, but really good. And it being a fruity tisane means there isn’t actually any tea, so the price is a lot lower.

You may also want to look into ordering from Teavana online. They have coupons and this month they have free shipping.

Keep in mind that white teas in general are more expensive. You may want to look at flavored greens which will be cheaper overall.

You can also sign up for a free ebates account and get money back for shopping at Teavana. I’ve done it in the past and you can get normally get 6% of your total back. Its not a lot but every bit helps!

This is such a great question! I adore Teavana’s Youthberry tea but haven’t found any less expensive substitutes. That said, I’ve been able to steep it up to 3 times and still enjoy the flavor. It certainly lasts longer on my shelf that way. (Sometimes with the third steeping I add a pinch or two of fresh tea to keep it going.)

There are also some cheaper Rooibos blends that your daughter might like. Or Herbals (From Teavana’s that is.) Other then that….dessert teas can be a fun tea to have on occasion, my favorite dessert tea is Orange Creamsicle Rooibos, I get it from a local tea store and I have no clue where she buys it, but Steepster has a few listed, you could look into those. (Also Rooibos doesn’t have any caffeine in it, so it’s fine to have in the evening.)
