Darjeeling vendors with reasonable shipping rates to Europe?

Hey guys,
I would love to try some high quality darjeeling teas, do you know of any online shops that have reasonable shipping rates? I found two shops that send the tea directly from India, but the shipping is almost 20$…

I’m not sure who it is, but one user on here raves about Mariage Freres’ Darjeelings. Not sure what the shipping is but they’re in France so I figure it has to be better than the 22 euros they want to the US.

I think I’m the only one crazy enough to spend money on a tea retailer that charges a high price for their teas, does not have any sampler sets, does not offer free shipping, sticks the customer (US) with a customs handling charge, but their FF Darjeelings are sublime. They do have great customer service. they will send free samples if you ask, and their delivery times from France to the US is no more than 7 days.

Oh, if I had more experience with their teas than just the one I bought in Paris and one readily available at Williams Sonoma, and a realistic income not made up of a student loan, I’d be right there with you.

I once bought tea ware from darjeeling.cz and think their service is very good. I didn’t buy darjeeling from them but I’m sure they have darjeeling :-)

Yes, they have lots of Darjeelings, as well as some nice Nepal teas.

Thanks for all the answers, the shipping from darjeelingtealovers.com to Czech republic is 20 dollars, unfortunately :(. I will check the others as well, I guess very probably darjeeling.cz might be my best choice :)

That is unfortunate. :( I really have enjoyed the teas that I’ve tried from them, some of the nicest Darjeeling teas I’ve encountered. I wish you best of luck in your Darjeeling quest!

Mariage Freres charges 28,5 euros for shipping to the US. As all of their teas are shipped from France, the charges should be less for destinations in Europe. Their FF Darjeelings are first rate but be prepared to pay a premium for their best teas. For 2012, the FF Namring was/is exceptional.
