Looks like that is a type of Dancong oolong! In English, Mi Lan Xiang means “Honey Orchid Fragrance.” One of my faves! I’ve never had Golden Moon’s but Verdant has a good one right now :)

just a heads up, i’ve never been clear on what golden moon’s honey orchid is exactly, and later i assumed it was a dancong because of the name—but i just restocked mine finally, and tasting it again, it doesn’t taste like any of the other dancongs i’ve had. even if it is one, it tastes markedly different. but that’s just me.

Fell HARD for Fauchon’s blends the last time they did this promotion, and have been distressed at the idea of running out permanently of my favorites (the one that most obsessed me I’ve been out of for months :( ) since I don’t know any other way to procure them. Just restocked and grabbed some new stuff to try too. SOFA KING EXCITED.

Agreed Sil. I did contact them asking if/when they’d ship to Canada, and they said they’d contact me if/when they do. I’m seriously considering ordering anyway, and having it shipped to my US address…

MissB – i tried to do that with one of these websites (might have been ruelala) and i couldn’t because my credit card wasn’t US based…and paypal didn’t let me get around that loophole either. On the upside the one tea i REALLY want isn’t there so i can survive… haha

Never tried them. Its very rare when i like flavored green or white tea, almost never. so i think you cant go wrong with black tea base.

sooo tempted by this sale! all flavors that i want to purchase are still available (with the exception of Chocolate Eclair)…Evening in Paris, Afternoon in France (lol did i reverse that?), Raspberry Macaron!! gahh i wanna try them, but not sure if i’ll like them :/

slightly worried about the presence of rose in all the aforementioned, but again i don’t know how prominently it will figure in the blends…will it overtake them? or be a whisper?

but the vanilla & different fruits on black tea base sound yummy…should i take the plunge? seriously, i’ve been arguing with myself over this since last night. it’s been plaguing me!! LOL…i keep checking vente-privee feverishly

but i know the feeling of a blind buy…if it turns out bad/u don’t like it, dread ensues!

but the tins are so pretty & this tea is otherwise impossible to attain. only a small window of time!

still indecisive. it’s killing me.

just my opinion, maybe others can weigh in too, but all of those blends (which i dig too!) are extremely floral (that’s why i like them, but most of the people i’ve swapped some away to haven’t liked how floral they are). just a heads up.

are you in the US? if so i can send you a sample once i have some again from this event…i know it won’t reach you in time for the sale, but just in case you’re curious and want to know for sure what you think of them for the future.

i would love to try a sample, u are most kind…and very generous considering how much you love this tea & also given that it is very scarce. i heard they had a Fauchon store in NYC that is no longer. oh wells..

now watch it happen…i try the sample, it turns out not too floral for my tastes, is perfectly gourmand and just delicious. whereas last night i wasted 5.99 on a green chai for which i had high hopes, and it smells discouragingly bad. sigh, curiosity is an expensive thing.

Got my vente-privee only today,partial shipment. they dont know if they have Chocolate Eclair Tea available. the slowest ship ever. when i opened my box one of the tins was open and tea spilled:( I’m very disappointed. but i called them right away, send a picture and got an email they going to credit my acct for this particular tea(Raspberry Macaron Black Tea)

That is disappointing, but at least they credited you for the one tin. I got my order a couple days ago and have been sipping away!

On another note, anyone know how often they have these Fachon sales? Is it once a year, twice a year? Is there a certain month I should be on the lookout?
