How does tea fit into your morning routine?

I set my alarm next to the kettle I have in my bedroom (no judging) so when it goes off I get up, hit snooze, flip my kettle on and jump back in bed. When the snooze goes off again the water is ready so I brew some tea in my mug and head back to bed to read the news. Usually I have a strong Yunnan or Fujian black.
Then when I’m done with news/tea I’ll head to the kitchen and brew myself a hearty Irish Breakfast or Assam to have with breakfast.

Judgment? Kettle in the bedroom is brilliant.

I typically brew 2 cups of tea first thing in the morning: one to have with breakfast and one to take to work in my thermos. A morning with no tea is a sad start to the day!

My morning tea is Irish Breakfast from Golden Moon Teas. I just fill the kettle with water while i walk the dogs, brew the tea as I dress, and then sit down and enjoy a couple of perfectly brewed tea. No better way to start the day, in my opinion

I usually get up and put the kettle on to make coffee for my sweetie, and I have a cup of tea after he’s gone. A make a single cup at a time, usually a black or oolong, and usually have a couple of cups before I eat breakfast. This is a pretty consistent routine for me, unless I sleep in or have early morning plans, as I like to do tasting notes and enjoy my tea leisurely.

I set my Breville the night before and it does it’s magic… and Voila! I have a lovely cuppa waiting. Usually I have a mate to get me started.

Kettle goes on as soon as I get up. What gets brewed depends on what kind of night my toddlers have had but it’s usually a breakfast tea or a Russian caravan tea.
