What are some of your favorite bagged teas?
I drink mostly loose leaf and tend to fill my own tea bags for work, but I still have a soft spot for a few pre made tea bags.
Right now my top three bagged are: Twinings Earl Grey and Irish breakfast and Higgins’ & Burke Chai.
Does anyone else have a few bagged teas they love? I’m always looking for new suggestions!
The Twinings Lady Grey and Black Currant are both pretty solid offerings, though the Lady Grey requires careful timing.
Bigelow’s Ceylon black in bags is pretty solid, we have it at work and I’ll drink it. : )
I enjoy Bigelows I Love Lemon and Plantation Mint bagged teas.
Pg Tips! It’s the strongest black tea I’ve ever had. I can fill a huge mug with it and still only brew it for 2 minutes and its perfect with milk and sugar in the mornings :)
Growing up we always had a box of Celestial Seasonings Sleepytime in the house, and it remains one of my favorites!
Twinings bags are usually good as is about everything I have tried by Ahmad.
Is it cheating to mix two of them? There were these two teas that I didn’t really like on their own, but mixing them together resulted in a blend that I loved! =)
I got a fondness for good old Twinings. I would even swear their bagged lapsang souchong is better than their loose leaf – though with a warning, I think their blends and teabags, even with the same name vary a lot depending on market. British teabags are not the same as the mainland Europe teabags, you can even tell, british teabags got more tea, and those no-string twinned teabags. I usually like the continental ones better.
I love their Prince of Wales and Lady grey and the Lapsang Souchong.
I am a Twinings lover also — both loose tea and bagged. It was what I drank before discovering Teavana and falling down the rabbit hole into this wonderland of tea.
(And I agree with Claire about the Sleepytime; sometimes it’s the only thing that gets me a good night’s sleep.)
Stash’s White Christmas, Twinning’s Lady Grey, and Celestial Seasonings’ Honey Vanilla Chamomile are the bagged teas that have a permanent place in my cupboard. I also like a lot of Harney and Sons’ bagged teas.
