San Francisco-Best Tea shops?

Planning an upcoming visit to San Francisco.. Anyone have any favorite tea shops?

I’ve only been to one, but I love it: Samovar Tea Lounge.

There’s recent thread that I created for a similar reason that a few people posted in. (should be able to use the search to find it)

off the top of my head i recall people recommending Samovar/Lupicia/Red Blossom….

oh also…. i had fun just going to chinatown to wander into the shops down there. Hopefully the oracle conference is gone by the time you get there because that made going to samovar a NO GO when we went :( Hoping to get back there sometime.

Conferences usually make it difficult to enjoy the Yerba Buena location that’s right by Moscone, but you couldn’t go to any of the other locations, either? That’s a bummer! It’s not perfect, but I do dig the ambience.

We didn’t have a lot of time to get out to the other locations. I trust that I’ll be back though so something to look forward to when we do :)

I would recommend Samovar (3 locations), the Imperial Tea Court in the Ferry building, and Lupicia in the Westfield mall. I haven’t been to Red Blossom, but have heard they carry some really nice teas!

Edit: I forgot there are two Davids open in San Francisco now, and one more on the way!

Claire- Imperial Tea Court ROCKS. Oh man. Their Rose Garden green tea is insane!!!!!!!!!
