Wait?! Pshhhhh! I got mine today and was so excited to try 52teas for the first time that I opened a pouch. Drinking a cup right now and it’s delicious! I’m totally cheating, but there is a reason for it. I can only drink one cup of caffeinated tea a day and I also got David’s advent calender so if there is a day when I don’t have caffeine with one, I know I can fill in with the other. Same with decaf. It makes more sense in my head than it does typed out.

On a more serious note, I wouldn’t advise divulging the contents of the pouches before their date—I know one or two folks here on Steepster who might hunt you down and harm you for posting such spoilers. LOL.

Unfortunately, my roommate and I will have to open it up early too, as we won’t be together for most of the holidays (I think she leaves town on the 16th?) However, I plan to write offline tasting notes and post them on the appropriate day :D

Last year there was a big discussion about when it was appropriate to post the tasting notes. Kind of tickled me.

LOL perhaps I should look that up! My assumption would have been, don’t read your dashboard on the day a packet is supposed to be opened prior to opening your own unless you’re looking for spoilers :D

Yes, please no spoilers. I like the idea of the surprise on the day. I will be avoiding steepster for those 12 days unless I’ve had that day’s tea :) This is so fun!

So you guys don’t want to hear about Wet Concrete for day 13? The tea tribute to all the blue collar workers out there? It’s a little gritty for my taste, sits kinda heavy in your stomach and leaves your mouth a little dry. If you leave it in your cup to cool it will solidify, but you can make your own keepsake ornament if you leave an impression of your hand in it as it dries. I’m giving mine to my mom for Christmas.

Kidding! I’d have to open all the packets to know if Wet Concrete was in there or not. :P

I’m not going to spoil anything! I’ll just sit here in my cheater’s corner happily MMMMMMMing it up before y’all!

I think you should message me the flavors so I can decide if I actually want to buy the box or not ;)

Also LOL about Wet Concrete! That’s actually a flavor my boyfriend might enjoy, though, as he is the superintendant in charge of concrete at his job site hahahaha ;)

I will say that I have opened 7 packets which all smelled incredible and have tried two teas so far. One I liked alright, one I really liked and I’m super excited to try the rest. I think if you like flavored teas, it’s a good purchase.

I bet your boyfriend could blend some of that tea himself at work!

That is lame. The government keeping you from filling your tea drinking dreams! I’m sure there is a metric ass ton of tea party jokes in there somewhere.

Lame is a tame word to describe it! ;) It’s because we bought new construction so it’s some sort of loophole to get us to pay extra taxes or something. Who knows. I’m just grateful we can pay $900+ now and 900+ in April or I’d really be weeping! Maybe if that was the case Frank would send me a complimentary Weeping Angel tea… or would that be rude?
