matcha

Matcha is definitely worth a try. Not for everyone, and it can get pricey. I love how Red Leaf offers flavored matchas since I was never a huge fan of straight up matcha. Plus, its super easy to make – just stick it in a water bottle and your good to go. No fiddling with kettles or steeping.

However, the bummer about ANY matcha – no matter the quality – is that it’s one time use only. Kind of a bummer for us tea drinkers who are used to multiple steeps.

hehe I almost never resteep so it’s just the advantage of not worrying about steeping times for me :D

Now that I know how to make my matcha quick and easy I love it :D I like it best in my travel mug. Two scoops of matcha pour water halfway into the mug froth it with a mechanical frother (tea or coffee store sells them or even black & Decker) and then I add milk. I find the best temp to work with is 185 degrees F. It’s good right after I add milk and gets better as it cools down :D (HINT: order from Red Leaf Tea)

Matcha is great and delicious.
matcha comes in different grades, categorized based on the quality of tea leaves used to produce matcha. I guess many hate matcha is because of the bitterness from the low grade matcha. Like what Breakaway Matcha mentioned, most of the matcha in the market are not meant for drinking, they are mainly for baking.
If you want to drink matcha as tea, you should try premium or ceremonial grade matcha.
