Torture for a Tea Drinker

A few days ago I noticed things not tasting as strong as normal. Then I noticed my sense of smell diminishing and now I can’t smell or taste anything. At all. It’s horrible! I got David’s advent calender, ordered 52teas 12 days, picked up some other teas recently and now if I try them it will just be a waste. I NEED my sense of smell and taste back and soon!!! /rant
Anyone else ever have this happen? Did you senses come back quickly?

It happens to me when I come down with a virus of some sort… which I did a few weeks ago. Now that I’m feeling better, though, everything is operating properly. I hope the same happens for you.

Ughhh I’m experiencing the same thing right now. Unfortunately it happens when my allergies are bad. Drinking tea actually makes me feel so much better, but I just can’t taste it. Hope your senses come back quickly!

There’s many reasons people loose their sense of taste & smell. Most of them go away by themselves in a few days. If it lasts longer than 2 weeks, go see a doctor. I feel for you :(

My taste and smell are off right now. I noticed it a few days ago, and then I came down with this wonderful flu. I’ve been drinking nothing but bagged tea, as anything else would be lost on me right now. Stupid sinuses.

I’d rather drink water in this condition :)

I have a kid in preschool so I’m always about to come down with something. :/
It’s been about three days of this and I’d understand it if my sinuses were totally blocked, but they are only a little blocked and I can breathe fairly well which makes it so much more peculiar. I woke up early this morning, crossed my fingers and ate a piece of candy. Nope, still no taste. I don’t think I can hold out for two weeks like this. I might just go mad!

I am currently having this problem. I am using the opportunity to use up some teas skip over. The ones you didn’t hate enough to toss, but weren’t thrilled with.

I currently have a sinus infection and noticed a couple of days ago this was happening to me. I could barely taste anything

A super strong tisane of mint, ginger or lemon might be able to come through with some taste and smell for you. If nothing else, it can’t hurt in the efforts to get you well! : )

I get this with a cold. And it’s devastating. It returns eventually.
