While tasting notes are down, what are you drinking?

I have gone for a whisky neat on the rocks. I need some courage for tomorrow morning as I’m booked in to the dentist. I have a very real phobia of dentists and needles (even though I have 8 tattoo’s). :(

Needles and tattoos are sooo different though! I nearly cry when I get blood taken and I have a sleeve and a chest piece! lol

Enjoying the rest of my aged oolong sample from Tea from Taiwan. I’ve felt “tea drunk” before, but this one seems to make me feel more “tea stoned” :P

Its really weird… haha I THINK these are tea leaves…

I have had Pumpkin Pie Black, Earl Grey, Gingerbread black, and English Toffee Black, all by Simpson & Vail, and all great, plus Earl Grey by Teajo, and my husband has had Spring Harvest Laoshan White by Verdant. Frustrating not to be able to do tasting notes while I have extra time before going back to work tomorrow. I like Steepster and have found it very helpful, but if the site got a little more attention, it could be more awesome. There are some really good suggestions for improvements on one of the other discussions.

My first tea of the day… Yes I know disgraceful

A mix of Candy Cane from The Tea Store and white hot chocolate made with water and milk on the stove. So good!

I started the day with a cup of Caramel Pumpkin Cheesecake, and have since moved on to a pot of Castleton 2nd Flush Darjeeling. This is really lovely.

Twinnings Oolong. It seems more lackluster than usual after tasting Nuvola’s stunning Muzha Ti Kuan Yin Oolong yesterday.

Now I’m enjoying my first cup of rooibos tea. I am surprised how much I love it!! It’s a red rooibos from Carytown Teas in Richmond, VA. Now I must try others. Any suggestions?

I’m not a huge fan of Rooibos, but I’ve found a couple good ones. Autumn Leaves by Della Terra or Oh Canada from DAVIDsTEA.
I do believe Nut & Honey Crunch from Della Terra is a Rooibos, but it could be a honeybush

If you’re interested in a honeybush/rooibos blend, I’d suggest Lemon Chiffon by Della Terra. I love it, it’s so lemony and light! I also drink Jessie’s Tea by DAVIDsTEA quite often, but I’d only suggest it if you really like coconut and are willing to try lavender in a tea.

I wasn’t home today so I had a peach tasting Celestial Seasonings, a bagged Tropical Green Tea by Mighty Leaf, and now I’m having some decaf orange spice. Not sure of the company. Overall, this has been a meh kind of tea day. When will tasting notes be up again so I can have delicious tea vicariously through my tea buddies? :)
