Best Season for Tie Guan Yin
I’m contemplating a Tie Guan Yin purchase, but I wanted some advice from you lovely Steepsterites first! I’ve had Tie Guan Yin before, so I know I love the floral, vegetal qualities of green oolongs much more than the darker Formosa oolongs. But how much does season affect the flavor profile?
I’ve seen Spring Tie Guan Yin and Autumn Tie Guan Yin. Is there really a noticeable difference? If so, what’s the difference and which do you prefer?

The spring harvest is typically more floral while the autumn harvest is more creamy. As much as I love floral notes in my teas, I prefer the more creamy autumn harvest. I don’t always find it very noticeable. That’s not to say it isn’t noticeable. It is, just not breath-takingly so.
