Does Harney and Sons have really slow shipping?
I was so excited to finally get to order from this company last Tuesday – November 27th. But now my excitements a bit less as every time I check my order status, it just says Printing. So they haven’t even sent it out yet? It’s now the next Monday, December 3rd. I ordered $13.00 worth of samples.
I haven’t had any problems. I ordered last week with their free shipping sale and had them the same week. I’d call to make sure there wasn’t a glich in the system.
I believe my order came pretty quickly and I’m in Canada. But I do think it was about 2 days before it actually shipped out.
I have ordered from them a few times and found their shipping time to be good.
On their facebook page they did just mention the other day that they have had a huge influx of Christmas orders, so much so that it crashed their computer systems.
So,maybe they are just super busy getting orders out right now.

in my experience they have a few days delay from when you submit the order to when they ship it, then ofcourse you have the shipping time. so yes they are slower than other companies in my experience, but within reason as long as your not in a rush.
if your concerned about them possibly missing your order; i would call/email them for your order status. i believe i received an email with a shipping tracker both times i ordered.(a few days after i ordered)
If you’re in Canada, there can be up to a week of processing time before they ship the order. I have nothing positive to say about their shipping, but I understand it to be pretty quick in USA.
Sorta related – I ordered from Art of Tea last week and my order is still stuck at processing, too. They said it would take “up to 5 business days”.. and well, today’s the day – buddy.
I ordered from them last Monday and received my order on Saturday, and same every other time I have ordered from them. I did have major issues with their new website, though, and even downloaded a new web browser to try to speed up the process. I was really sad and probably would’ve ordered more teas/gifts, but it was going too slow and I was getting sleepy. I’ve not had an issue with the shipping, however. I would call and ask to make sure there wasn’t some glitch somewhere – usually they are pretty quick about shipping out orders.
I’m in the same boat with a Yunnan Sourcing (.us) order from Black Friday… It might just be that all of these companies and or the postal service are just backed up from lots of online orders last week
Did you order from the Friday? I ordered from them Monday (11/26) and it shipped on the 11/29. I already got my order too, although it was mostly hardware.
Yeah, it was definitely the US site I ordered from too. I got an e-mail that my order shipped before it did.
I emailed them and they said they’ve been backed up, but they’d mail mine tomorrow. Guess you just got lucky :P
I guess so. I’m surprised mine got shipped first since I ordered even after their cyber monday coupon ended (they extended it a little longer just for me). But like i said, mine WAS mostly hardware, so maybe it was easy for them to put together.

I did get an email the next day of the order with the order number to keep checking on it, but nothing since. So I’m assuming everything was fine with the order because of the email
It could be a delay because of the facebook issue mentioned. Think I will send them an email to check though. If I started counting from Wednesday, it’s now six days since it was ordered.
Okay, I just called. She said there was a lot of orders so they haven’t shipped it out yet. They’re also changing the shipping method from USPS to UPS when they send it out. She said it should go out today, so we will see. Fingers crossed! Was hoping it have it by tomorrow originally from when my friend had been coming over, but will have to wait on the tea tasting.
