Does Harney and Sons have really slow shipping?

I think many companies are back logged from black friday/ cyber monday & Christmas order. I think the postal systems are backed up too, my DAVIDsTEA order was suppose to arrive today & still hasn’t :(

The teas arrived today – and on time for my friend to come over – happy days! They smell DIVINE and I love the black packaging.

Mine usually gets here in three days, but this is a busy time of year. Also, their site often fails to update that my package has shipped until well after I have received it!

My two orders came quickly. Even more surprisingly, I e-mailed them about something tea related I saw in their catalogue and got several prompt responses from Michael Harney himself.

I have made 3 orders from Harney, I’m in Canada. First order was shipped right away but held at customs forever. Second order did not ship for over 1.5 weeks, at least it was not held at customs for longer than a day. My most recent order was shipped within 3 days. I’ve heard lots of discussion about international orders taking a long time to ship. I just wish I would know that when I order. Ie. when I place the order, if there was a note that said, will ship within 1-3 days, etc.

YES. I have ordered from them twice and have waited…and waited…and waited. My first order didn’t arrive until nine days and the second order took 16 days. Needless to say, I won’t be ordering from them again.

I’ve placed three orders from H&S in the last few months. All three orders were shipped via UPS and arrived about a week after I placed the order. The first one was never marked as shipped, and I ended up calling customer service to find out that the package had been delivered that same afternoon. The other two both were marked as shipped within a day or two and had a tracking code.

Since I sometimes get my Adagio orders in 1-2 days, H&S feels like it takes a long time. My last order from them was placed on April 5th, and arrived April 15th (it was shipped on April 8th). But I am on the other side of the continent from them, and spoiled.
