Yixing teapot got bitter

Hi all, I have a Yixing teapot that I use for oriental Beauty oolong tea, my room mate used it aprox. 1 week back and forgot to take out the used leaves and it stayed there for this time. I think my tea is getting a bit bitter, is that my imagination or 1 week would be enough to spoil my pot? Is there a way to mitigate the bitter taste or i better get a new one? thanks

You could try doing boiling water in it without tea a couple times, see if that undoes anything.

boil it for an hour let it cool. after cooling reboil it but add the tea you wish to re-season it with and let it set 24 hours to see if it will pickup the flavor you want again.
