Steepsters on Goodreads
TeaEquilsBliss has been asking about Steepsters on Pandora. It had me thinking, who of you are on Goodreads? I love reading books and drinking tea, so it’s my other top site :) I also love seeing what others are reading and what they thought of it. It influences me like this site does for tea!

Where are you?

And I really need to update it, I finished Ben-Hur and Catch-22 months ago, and many other books since then.
http://www.goodreads.com/user/show/9709733-holly I’ve only really updated it with the books that I’ve read this year (my goal is to read 52 books this year. I’m a few behind right now! Must do lots of reading in between knitting/crocheting! ;))
Pick up some young reader books :) You’ll catch up quick. If you liked Hunger Games, then you might like the Matched trilogy, Divergent & Insurgent or the Shadow Children. I had a goal of 52 last year, so I had to up my goal this year to give myself a challenge to 64 :)
I just made it to 52 last year and was shooting for 100 this year. Because of the Ice and Fire series, I seem to be stalled in the high 80s. Ah well, there’s always next year! :D
I really need to learn how to knit/crochet AND read at the same time! ;) I’ve been working my fingers to the bone trying to get a bunch of new things made for a craft show I’m in on Saturday, so I haven’t had much time to read at all lately! Haven’t even finished half of a book this month yet. Eep.
Two years ago I was in the 80s as well, but I also had more free time and part of it was course load from my last semester of university. Next year, I will make 100!
I’m into crocheting too, but when I only crochet my mind gets bored so I listen to audiobooks while crocheting. Also can’t seem to do chores like the dishes without an audiobook playing. I read a lot of books (Tried keeping a list once, had over 50 in a single year, this was before things like goodreads were available online) and audiobooks helps to double the number of books I ‘read’.
Of course you need a good narrator (George Guidell is one of my favorites) otherwise it takes the fun out of reading.
Audiobooks might seem like cheating on the surface, but if you’re having migraines/other eye issues it’s better than not reading at all. Also I think one of the best ways to experience horror novels is on audiobook in a darkened room.
Unfortunately not. I am on librarything, though. That’s how I originally discovered Steepster.
I find goodreads a lot of fun, and quite helpful when I’m looking for something else to read. (For some reason, once I got my kobo I started being a LOT pickier. No idea why.)

Glad you guys like the site. My wife works there, and there are several tea lovers on the staff.
I have some tea and teaware related books here:

Hi Em, I figured since this thread is fresher might as well continue on with this one. Like I said in the other thread I wasn’t sure what the life span of a thread was on here.
There is a Steepster group on Goodreads, but it is invite only. Here is the link to the group http://www.goodreads.com/group/show/79822-steepster
I personally think it should be changed to public just because I doubt anyone who isn’t a part of this site will bother joining. It just makes it easier on the mods on the other site :)
Here is my profile: http://www.goodreads.com/user/show/4937855-andrew
I will repost here what I said in the other thread.
I just wanted to post that I made a new topic for a group read for the Steepster group on Goodreads. The group seems kind of dead and I figured bringing awareness here might help :)
