I have a collection of pretty teacups. I found a few at thrift stores and then my husband began giving me one at as gifts during holidays. The ones I’ve been drawn to look as though they could be in a Merchant Ivory film: they’ve got that delicacy and gorgeousness. Just enjoy the search and go with whatever you adore! I have put a stop to my lovely English tea cups collection and now wish I had many awesome Japanese cups with no handles…!

In addition to Etsy and Ebay, you might want to watch for estate sales and try them. There is a place online where you can search for sales in your area….www.estatesales.net
Also, if you see an upcoming antique/collectible auction, that might be worth your while. I just picked up a big tray of 12 teacups for a song ($40). I was the high bidder and I COULD have taken all 4 big trays, which would have been closer to 50 cups, but I felt greedy doing that so I just took one. My mistake. I won’t do that again, the woman that ended up high bidder after me took the remaining 3 trays and clearly didn’t feel bothered by it all, so I need to not be so nice, I suppose. And I am just starting to collect them, too ; ) There is something about teacups and saucers that just makes me very happy. I go for what pulls at me, no particular names or anything.

That sounds fantastic! I have been meaning to go to an estate sale for a while now. I have several friends who own vintage clothing stores and they love to tell their estate sale success stories. I never though of going for tea cups thought!

Found the cutest teacups at Goodwill for 60 cents each. They have pink on the inside of the cups and a lovely matte ivory color on e outside. The handles are the perfect size for my hands.
