Golden Moon Tea Sampler Baskets = Pet Toys

I emailed Golden Moon Tea last night (Wednesday, March 03, 2010 9:29 PM) and asked if their basket the sampler came in was painted varnished or anything else.

They got back to me first thing in the morning telling me they’d find out.

I got back a response today after they tracked down the supplier for me.

Thank you for your email to Golden Moon Tea. I apologize for the delay. I have listed the information you requested. The definition is listed below. The Pandan basket from Golden Moon Tea is all natural no varnish, no color enhancements, this is straight from nature. Your rabbits should love it. I hope you find this email helpful. Thank you for your continued patronage. Have a wonderful day!!

Pandan (screwpine pandanus) is a type of tree that grows in tropical areas of Asia. Pandan leaves have a sweet, unique flavor that is commmonly used in Southeast-Asian countries to enhance both desserts and savory dishes.

I call that a very fast and wonderful response!

Now my pet rabbits have a new chew toy / treat! and I got tea, it couldn’t get any better.

Anyone else have any other places that send you fun packaging that had more that one use?

AmazonV- My two Flemish Giant Rabbits (Bo and Daisy Duke) are looking at me with 4 little evil eyes right now. I know they are thinking why don’t my Mom go ahead and order the GM 31 Sampler so that we can chew on the basket too. :)

LOL, I am an evil enabler :) – use coupon code steepster for free shipping

My terrier would have it ripped and thrown all over the house in 2.6 sec flat.

but that’s 2.6 seconds of joy? destructive joy….

I reused the Golden Moon box for embroidery floss. I have used nice boxes from Harney and Sons for the same thing! Any box that is nice and comes into my possession gets used for small balls of extra yarn, buttons, etc. etc. etc. Same with tins (if they are not big enough for cookies!).

I have my grandmother’s china cabinet from the 1940s in my studio – the top part which is wood and glass (i.e. you can see the shelving!!) is filled with pretty boxes from here and there with supplies, then the drawers hold full skeins of yarn, fabric, painting supplies, etc.

that’s a lot of yarn! you must be very crafty

He hee – I certainly have my obsessions!
