So there was a Post about the New Holiday collection from Davidstea and everyone waiting for the advent calender, With me owning a lot of davids teas I decided not to get the advent calender and went for another item But unfortunately they also at this same time changed there web sight Completely and there were A LOT of problems shipping to the USA.
With that they were not Sending my tea to MD they were sending it to AL It took them a week and a half to get my order even shipped and then it took another week for me to get it.
Unfortunately I was not happy with the product and called them back and let them know, Genevieve had been helping me, thank god for her though cues there is a gentlemen who would not call me back when i was just trying to get a tacking number for my item originally. but any who! She was sending me out a New item with a gift of tea since i had been having so meany problems. I was fine with that and let it go and a week later called for a tracking number again I got a guy who didn’t know anything and never called me back!
A week went by of waiting for a call and I gave in and call back again to then get the same guy who then said i was JUST SHIPPED after 2 weeks again! I asked to talk to Gen again who apologized said she put the order in and it was sent to the wrong zip code and that she would send it out first class.. I did not expect to get this package until the end of this week early next week due to the time frame it took for my last package.
Happily the story ends well, I received my package today With the 5 Christmas teas and some Christmas bubble mugs as an apology I will say its been a very stressful month with this order it started November 7th and finally finished December 10th. I will order from Dravids tea again just not around the holidays and if I ever need to call will automatically request for Genevieve
In all this i stand behind davids teas i feel like some things fell threw when it came to one of there customer service people but there tea is wonderful!!

DAVIDs has the BEST customer service staff! I usually end up talking to Natalie, and she’s such a lovely lady! She also plays middle-man between me and their copywriter (who is a horse lover and has a great sense of humor too). I’m going to be a DAVIDs customer for a loooonnnnggggg time because everyone is just so great! They never cease to make me smile, whether it’s head office staff, or the staff at my local stores <3
Sorry you had so many problems. I’ve placed three different holiday timed orders with David’s and haven’t had any problems. In fact I’m drinking one of my 24 days of tea teas now.
Eh it all worked out in the end lol I’ve ordered from them menny times this is the first time I’ve ever had a problem! Well I posted a photo of what I received :)
Yeah Sare it was kinda a crazy show with the new website, mine didn’t take a month but it was a good 2.5 weeks until I got my order because their new site didn’t include my apartment number. And they didn’t compensate me anything. I always feel like with Davids in general I love them so much that I am too nice to them, and I never get anything if they make a mistake. That sounds selfish but yeah my package was a week late and they didn’t really do anything to apologize for that.
I had no problems ordering last year but I think their new website is still being very problematic for them, and you ended up with the short end of the stick. Glad it all worked out!
I just got a bubble teapot from a store in Chicago and the gold paint was all messed up. I got an email from Genevieve too, on Saturday, that she’d have a replacement out to me. I was convinced even though I thought I got the email out early enough Friday for them to reply in my mind that I wasn’t gonna hear from them until Monday. And I get to keep the messed up pot so I think I am going to have the prettiest indoor planter ever in addition to a teapot.
hehe i like that idea of an indoor planter hehe i almost feel like i need the matching teapot for my bubble mugs lol its got a gold tree on one which is weird cues the other one is blank! Glad it worked out hope you get your new teapot soon :)
Yeah that’s the teapot I got, and my boyfriend decided he had to get me the cups too. It threw me off at first that the one was just a solid color.
Glad things worked out in the end. Even the best companies can make mistakes/mess up sometimes. I haven’t ordered from David’s ea yet but I’ve heard mostly good things and think I’ll make an order after Christmas is over and I can spend $ on myself. Been eying a certain perfect mug.
They look perfect, right size, good infusers, lid… Been giving hints to everyone I know about how much I like the perfect mug with snowshoes. If i don’t get it for Christmas I might just buy it for myself.
Just got the perfect peppermint mug myself. It was intended to be a gift, but I think I may have to get another one for them. :)

ya i had similar issues.
placed two orders 3 weeks apart shortly after the new website was installed.
i ordered a lot!
and waited a really long time for the boxes to arrive so i eventually called to see what was taking so long.
shortly thereafter they sent the two packages superfast delivery free of charge plus a free gongfu teapot that i really wanted but wasn’t online. and apologized of course :)
they can try to manage their employees well, but i imagine all people have bad days.
I’m glad to hear that they worked on the issues for you. It’s very frustrating when something goes wrong with an order, and I find it so reassuring when the company will go the extra mile for the customer to make it right.
I ordered last Wednesday and am still waiting for my package to ship. I’m in the US so I don’t know of this is normal? I hope it comes quick as it contains Christmas gifts and I’m waiting to mail out other packages until it arrives.
