I bought three up and coming teas from Seven Cups as a present to myself: Sunrise Keemun 2012 black, Huang Guan Yin Wuyi wulong 2012, and Golden Guan Yin Anxi gao shan wulong 2012. Tasting notes to come soon!

My boyfriend got me the Breville variable temp kettle :D i have tried it once so far and I’m sold, love the buttons, the quiet beep when it’s done, and especially the hold temp button! Hehe he’s a keeper :)

Also got a Brewt steeper from my parents! It’s so cool, I like that I can loose steep my tea and the strainer is right in it, it will be perfect for oolongs that expand a lot. I made a cup for dad and I last night and it’s the perfect size for two cups. I can’t wait to try it for iced tea too!

I also got a matcha sifter, a double walled clear glass teacup, a three yixing pot stand and a one yixing pot stand, I still need to get a 2 pot stand as they were sold out then I will have all I need of those for displaying my pots. Also got a new matcha whisk – a black bamboo one I really wanted.
So I scored – good thing someone sent Santa my wish list haha.

The tea cloth is so cute, and that tea tray is beautiful!

Azzrian, that’s so beautiful! You are very lucky to have that. Do you even have yixing pots, Chinese tea tools, snifter/sipper cups, and a lotus plate for tea appreciation?

I have five yixing pots, but I do not have most of the traditional tools. I have yixing sipper cups from Teavivre however that came with one of my pots from them. Not ceramic lined but true yixing cups. I still need to add more to my collection as far as tools go but I am working on it slowly. :)
Thank you for the compliments on the tray. I sought long and hard to find the one I really truly wanted and this was it.
I love Sandalwood and this tray is made from Sandalwood.

Tray is indeed lovely. That is something I have been meaning to pick up for a long time now. Shang has a couple I like (I hope he still has them…).

Shang Tea is a lovely place and lovely people! I have not seen their tea trays though. Will need to go peek at them :) I hope they still have them as well so you can get one!

I got the Giant Perfect Mug from DavidsTea (the fall edition with the pretty trees!) and a sample of Glitter and Gold from my bf, while my roommate picked up the 8 pack of mini tins (which, amazingly had 8 teas I DIDN’T already have!!!) and 4 pretty little black bubble cups. I’m totally spoiled.

I may have to buy the matching bubble teapot though! :P

I got new supplies of Shang Tea’s Honeysuckle White & Tangerine Blossom Red. Just in time, too! I’ve been sharing a lot at work. :)

Oh I almost forgot – I also got a Libre Tea Glass http://retailshop.libretea.com/Libre-glass-n-poly-Original-c15/

I have not used it yet – want to be sure to read how to do it right so I don’t ruin my seal even though it did come with an extra.
Not sure about using it properly – I think the only downside is there is no real place to drink from without taking the entire lid off – unless I am not yet discovering that.
It has a beautiful lid though which you don’t really see on the website.

EESH! Can’t believe how low they are on sale right now hubby paid full price GADS! lol

Here is the ink to my new matcha bowl:
http://www.yuuki-cha.com/matcha-accessories/matcha-bowls/zansetsu-mino-yaki-matcha-chawan-tea-bowl?zenid=3f56793cf554596bec17763d8638d537
I love the white glaze on the bowl and since we actually had a white Christmas, it will be a nice reminder of the snow.
“This handcrafted Mino-Yaki matcha bowl takes on the name zansetsu. In Japanese, zansetsu is the snow which is leftover when spring comes that is slowly starting to melt away. Each bowl has a white glaze which represents the melting snow, and a red body which represents the warmth of spring. Handcrafted in the Mino area of Gifu prefecture which is famous for its Japanese pottery. "

THAT IS SOOO PRETTY!!! And reasonably priced. I have seen some match bowls that are as nice looking as that one, but are really expansive.

My partner got me a lovely matcha set, including a chawan, chasen, chashaku, she also got me a whisk keeper to go with it :) I love it! Too bad I’m just about out of matcha now- I’ve drank some every morning since I opened this present haha.
