request for advice on wissotzky tea leaves collection
hi! im fairly new to tea exploration and i like the wissotzky strawberry burst that i tried from israel. would like to get some feedback on which of the tea leaves to try out. thanks!
All o f the Wissotzky teas are high quality (for a tea bag anyway) I’d just try whatever flavors intrigue you.
You might want to get in contact with the user “ssajami”. They are from Israel and they have sent me some Wissotzky tea in the past.
Yes, I am from Israel, and yes, Wissotzky is our local tea bag brand. Their tea is pretty good, for bagged tea, and there are many good flavors. Personally, I like the apple cider flavor, the lemon-mint, and the chamomile honey. Also their green tea line is good, and there are is a wide variety of flavors. I’m not sure what is available outside of Israel. Let me know if you need any help :)
I found them both on amazon, and through this site seemingly for us sale.
http://www.wteashop.com/ all tea seems bagged only.
Wissotzky teas are available in “gourmet” groceries and many of the better supermarkets all over the US.
wow, so many replies…and from popular tea lovers too!
i believe you, Foolongthehill, and yes, im ordering a bunch from that website, Kasumi :) just couldnt decide on the more expensive kind here http://www.wteashop.com/The-Leaves-Collection_c_22.html coz i found 1 review that said the regular earl grey was not as good as the lord grey but i also saw a blog post that recommended the leaves collection earl grey. as you can guess, i like that flavor tea ^^ but if you have tried a better one in that collection, your input will help me decide before i order :)
im not so partial with a specific flavor. i like flowery and sweet teas too. my best tea experience is one that makes me remember poetry :)
ssajami, so glad to see you in this topic :) got the lemon-mint and chamomile honey in the order basket together with some green tea flavors for my dad, but they dont have apple cider…some flavors are also not available on that site like sweet lullaby, gold, banana caramel and galilee bouquet….i like all things israel a lot :)
rachel, any tips on how to get ssajami to send me samples too? ;)
oh what are the gourmet groceries in california? ^^’
Haha, well it was in a travelling tea box that I just happened to be apart of (I actually specifically asked for tea with hebrew on it). .. I will say, though. Do you have any kosher grocery stores near you? That’s where I picked up a box of the tea. That’s the only place I’ve seen the brand that’s not in store.
travelling tea? is that a swap group or forum? you like hebrew tea too? will try to google some kosher groceries…tho i doubt there are any near this suburb of fresno ^^’
