Tea Meet and Greet- Los Angeles at Anime LA
So I am staff (special ops) at Anime Los Angeles, one of the smaller more family orientated anime conventions in Southern California and I was wondering if anyone wanted to have a tea meet and greet? We’ll share teas, talk about being a steepster and just have a good time. What do you guys think?
when is the convention happening? do we have to wear anime costumes too ^^
Costumes are optional. The convention is the first weekend of January at the LAX Mariott. If only one or two people turn out interested, I’ll sit and have tea with ya’ll. :)
Oh that sounds fun! I’d have to see if I can afford it though. Maybe I can swing the single day rate. Did you have a particular day in mind?
Most likely Saturday or preferably for me early Sunday. I will be there all 4 days though running around all over the convention. If there’s only one or two people interested, then I would like to meet up for a few hours on saturday. If the group gets big, then Sunday when the convention slows down. Special-ops basically runs from 7am to 4am.
Doh, a little pricey for me to attend- but would love to do a meet and greet another time!
So I am thinking of doing a meet, greet and tasting another time in another public location for the LA area since I forgot how expensive Anime conventions are; this post really was to see is anyone was already going. Will start a new thread about meetups!
Happy to see this convention, I would love to go. It would be great to do some Tea Fairy cosplay. Unfortunately it is too late in my schedule to make it, but maybe next time.

Try meetup.com and doing something at a local tea shop and inviting those from here to it :)
