Best tea for a cold? :( I got sick. *cries*
fresh ginger, grated and boiled gently for 20minutes. leave to steep overnight. in the morning, you will have a strong tea that will heat up your cold :D
I drink Teavana’s Swiss Vervaine but if you don’t have any on hand, a good mint or citrus tea is soothing. Just tea in general makes my throat a bit better but especially the Swiss one.
Take some of the Red Rose from your cupboard and add honey. I did that last week with my cold. If I had lemon, I would have added that, too. Feel better soon. If it’s anything like mine you’re going to get really, really stuffy after the sore throat. The tea will help with that. (The warmth is the only thing that made me feel better…no meds seemed to help.)
I love drinking Chai tea when I have a cold/flu, it really seems to get rid of it quickly.
Black tea. Read the research on this. Think big T cell lymphocytes as a result of this yang tea which is warming and will stop the yin of sickness.
I haven’t been sick in a long time (cross my fingers), but if I were, either lemon or lemon, ginger, or peppermint would be good.
Bigelow Green Tea with Lemon, brew to your desired strength,[I like to leave the teabag in the cup when I’m sick and trying to feel better] Add a good squeeze of lemon juice and a generous spoonful or two of honey, stir it up and sip it. This is my favorite remedy for sore throats.
Cold 911 from DAVIDsTEA. It has worked wonders for me every time. And you can even resteep it!
Any tisane with lots of vitamin C or other good stuff to fight illness and symptoms: Lemon, Ginger, Elderberry, Rosehips, Peppermint, Moringa and even Hibiscus.
