Similar to Copper Knot?

I’ve only had Copper Knot a couple times, but one thing that might help you and others is knowing where it’s from, which is something Teavana only gives a little bit of info on. It’s from the Yunnan Province of China, apparently grown at 2,000 feet atop the Yunling Mountain Range. Little else is given except that it has both leaves and buds, though it does not give the proportions (the leaves are the dark part and the buds are golden) and that it is hand rolled.

I personally do not have enough experience with Yunnan black teas but I do know this is not like the light super buddy, golden tipped Yun Nan Dian Hongs. I’d say the bud proportions are close to Teavivre’s Yunnan Black (I’ve tried their golden tipped, full leaf and black): http://www.teavivre.com/yunnan-black-tea/

Basically you are looking for a darker more robust Yunnan, not a Fujian (though I love these) or a Keemun. Anyone with experience with these please chime in!

Adagios Yunnan Noir is just about identical I’ve had both.
