Murchie’s Tea!
They were great to me, and even if you don’t enjoy most of their menu their scone mixes are heavenly.

Has anyone mentioned Nature’s Tea Leaf yet? I have nothing but good things to say about their customer service now. Denise @ Nature’s Tea Leaf is active on Steepster and just recently read one of my tasting notes where I was puzzled by something (possible mislabeling) and is now sending me replacement tea without my even mentioning it or seeking them out. Now that’s awesome.

Come to think of it, The Tea Spot did that for me last year when I mentioned that one of the tea’s I tried tasted sour, so they sent me a bunch of samples to try. I was impressed and surprised. Great customer service. It also taught me to be careful about my comments.

I don’t have anything much to add but since you mentioned it being a sort of poll and adding points for each mention. I order most frequently from Verdant Tea (at least once a month for a year now) and they are amazing. I recently placed my first order with Butiki Teas less than a month ago and both Stacy and the teas are awesome. Been awhile since I’ve ordered from Upton but they have very prompt customer service and tons of variety, I enjoyed ordering sample sizes just to educate my tongue on different varieties. I had a great in store experience at Adagio, love that they brew you free samples in addition to the pre-brewed store samples. Nuvola , Fong Mong and Teavirve all have wonderful, prompt customer service, though I have only gotten samples from them, my tea budget is also very limited.

I agree with those free samples being awesome! Wish I could buy from those vendors. I did buy some tea from Teavirve before though.

Norbu Tea – great great tea, great service
JK Tea Shop – good tea coupled with free shipping makes me a very happy person :)

I’ll try Butiki now that I’ve seen all these great reviews.

JK Tea Shop doesnt have free shipping… or do I misunderstand smth? Great shop though

NofarS said

I bought tea through their eBay store and the shipping was free.

Zeks said

Can you pls give a link to ebay store?

Zeks said

Oh, found it myself and from what I see their prices on ebay are simply higher than what they have at their store if bought directly. :) So this “free shipping” is an illusion

NofarS said

This is literally a case of YMMV. Cost of tea + cost of shipping was significantly higher for me when buying from their non- eBay store than from their eBay store. I suggest that people take the extra time and check which option is best for them (and remember that eBay does offer you buyer protection, if that’s something you’d be willing to pay extra for).

Zeks said

Well, buyer protection isn’t really that necessary with JK. I did not have any trouble with them for the last 2 years.

Out of curiosity – which tea did you compare on ebay and website?

I find that David’s Tea has the best customer service of every company I have ever dealt with, seriously! I emailed asking for a sample of a tea, as in my previous order there was one I was ‘not fond of’ and didn’t want to make a mistake by ordering blind again. Well, they told me to garbage the one I had, (which I couldn’t bring myself to do, so I gave it to my mom), and they sent me a 50g bag of a new tea – free! Customer service is essential to me as I live near NO tea stores (or really, any stores haha) and do most of my shopping online. Go Davids Tea!!!
