I'm going to Dublin until May...

And I’m getting really nervous about it! Does anyone live there/has been there for an extended period of time? As a 21 year old female university student, is there anything I should know? Thanks for any and all advice!

Superanna just left there. She hasn’t stayed in Dublin a lot, mostly Northern Ireland, but I will see if she has any suggestions!

Dublin is really safe and pretty fun. There’s nice shopping. It tends to have a high standard of living. There is lots of public transportation including a nice bus line that runs late. Good restaurants, and lots of cool places to visit like Trinity College which has the amazing library that the Jedi library was modeled after. Kilmainham Gaol is really cool and teaches a lot about their heroes. Compared to Northern Ireland it is very patriotic and they have a lot of history and heroes. The people are generally very friendly and helpful. Insomnia Coffee is a local chain that is amazing. They have great specials and their hot angel with a toffee apple muffin is the absolute best on cold rainy days…which is every day. My favorite location is at St Stephen’s Green. Grafton Street has some very nice stores including a Bewley’s Tea.
