Ovation Teas No More :(
Oh boy, feeling a little bit of buyer’s remorse not because of the usual “I spent so much” because price/weight was so reasonable but because I already have so much tea and have so much more coming in.
I go back and forth on feeling like I have too much coming, that I should have ordered more or that I have enough at home already and shouldn’t have made this order at all. We’ll see how I feel when I’m staring down 4.5lbs of tea!
Ha! I impulsively ordered 13 lbs. I don’t count on mailing out portions since I’ve never done so but this order may necessitate it. My mattress is already bulging with past tea indiscretions. (I kid….they’re under the bed; of course silly, be crushed otherwise).

Here goes Yssah: black tea rose EG, rasp EG. Green tea Cashmere Chai, Coconut Thai, Coconut, Jasmine Berry, Rasp Lemon, Pineapple Blueberry. White tea Blueberry, Ginger Peach, Jasmine Rose, Pineapple. Non-flavoured tea: Anhui Mao Feng, Chunmee, Da Hong Pao, Gopaldhara estate Darj, FF Darjeeling oolong, Bai Hao oolong. If the black blends hadn’t sold out I would have included at least blueberry EG, choc rasp mint and brown sugar fig. Crazy, huh, just to avoid hassle/cost of swapping. I almost always meet free shipping minimums and tend to make larger orders infrequently. This close out sale is my biggest yet in terms of quantity, assuming it gets fulfilled in full.

that is an amazing lot! are you sure you dont want the hassle of swapping? coz there are quite a few who want to just buy it off your hands so that is somewhat less of a hassle ^^’ and you can get a scale on amazon for just 10 bux free shipping :D
i still have 1oz of blueberry EG if you are interested in swapping and i am placing big orders this week that you can choose from coz im all out of brown sugar fig. wanna try the white jasmine rose and green jasmine berry. rasp lemon sounds good too :)
i also like to meet the minimums coz id rather spend on tea than shipping, it just cant be helped.
you can start a new thread for these items if you would like to swap a lot of ounces out kinda like what me and mercuryhime did ^^
I think all their flavored teas are gone – I don’t think I will be placing an order but would be happy to buy it from people who placed an order & willing to sell. Preferably from people who ordered several kinds to reduce shipping cost :)
Just got an email back from Melanie at ovation (I’d emailed for status).
They have been swamped (yeah, that’s probably our fault). Anyway, my order is packed up now to be shipped out in the morning. Amusing the rest of you guys orders to follow soon after.

@Dustin: the chinese have these teaboxes disguised as books. i think that can effectively hide as many teas as you like in a bookshelf..unless a bookworm comes browsing hahaha
whoa, that is a good idea.. hiding tea in books. I’ve already got so many books that it would be easy to hide tea in a few boxes that look like books. (Then I just need to start hiding some of the books.)
LOL – I think that they sell all kinds of things to hide “other things” – from air freshener cans, to soda cans, etc.

Wow, right after I got the shipping notice I got another personal email from Melanie thanking me again for my business and expressing how cool she thought all our sharing of the custom blends was (sort of let her know we were the reason for that crazy rush of orders lol). Sad day when a tea shop closes down :(
When did you guys order who have gotten shipping emails? I’ve gotten nothing. I’ll email in a sec but just want to make sure maybe it’s because of the time.
nevermind, almost 14 days is long enough to just ask what’s the deal, closing sale or not.
I still haven’t gotten a shipping notice either. I emailed yesterday morning to get an update, but haven’t heard anything yet.
I ordered 12:30am on 1/31 so guess it’s not any sort of chronological order at all. I know they’re swamped but now they’re also apparently getting swamped with people asking about orders.
I ordered 1/31 and figured I’d wait till after Thursday (2 weeks) and then email. I’m sure they are swamped but a general email letting people know that their order was received and will be processed soon would help. I haven’t receive ANY emails except my initial order. On that it says orders will be shipped within 7 days.
Just got a response. Mine should be processed tomorrow. I ordered on the 31st too. I wonder what order they are processing them in.
Anyone receive their package yet? It’s now been two weeks and I’ve had yet to receive shipping info.
