A new tea infuser that does everything except fold the laundry???

Greetings,

I’m sitting here having a lovely cup of Stash Lemon Ginger Green tea anxious to get my new order from American Tea Room and about to place a couple of other orders.

In the last couple of days — and I’ve lost my mind because I have had a very sick little pug I’ve been running back and forth to the vet with — I saw a rather amazing tea brewer/infuser that is supposed to sense when the tea is steeped and shuts off or lifts the little basket with the leaves up according to what it’s set to. I don’t know if I’m saying this right but I was dazzled and now I don’t know where I saw it or what it is. I’m not usually this foggy brained but I’d love to know what it is if someone can help me, and if you DO know what it is I’d love to know what people think.

Blessings and Happy 2013 to one and all…

Maitri

Yes, that’s it! And whooooeeeee it’s expensive. Has anyone here tried one? And is there a specific brewer/infuser/tea maker that Steepsterians really like? And thanks for answering this Novi!

I’ve not used it, but it has a 92 rating on steepster – the highest rated brewer! There are 52 ratings on it here:

The One Touch is what it is cracked up to be, not only will it automatically steep your tea for you like a coffee pot on a timer, it keeps the water at the required temperature for steeping the entire time, this is the biggest difference. Water cools off fast while its sitting steeping tea which will bring out less of the natural oils when your dealing with teas that like 94 degrees or more. I really enjoy my little Steeper unit from DAVIDsTEA as I have a kettle that does the variable temps so I don’t have to worry about that. Next is the One Touch for sure simply so I can wake up to brewed tea.

Thanks for letting me know Novi. Where would I go here to read what other brewers/tea makers that people think a lot of? I am just coming back here after a 2 year absence and getting re-oriented so need to find my way around again.

Thanks! :)

Thank you Azzrian, she’s asleep in my lap now. I have 4 rescue pugs and this little girl went through a dreadful lot of abuse and among other things she was left blind. She is precious beyond words and I’ve had her to 3 vet appts and finally a veterinary ophthalmologist today and came home with 3 new meds. Phew, but she already seems more peaceful.

But, nothing like a soft warm pug and a good cup of tea to put you right with the world! And I have my 3 boy pugs too (and 5 parrots!) I see you have a number of animals as well. Lovely. Thank you so much for your good wishes…

Hope your little pug feels better real soon. Poor little thing, i’m sure she’ll do alot better now that she has you taking care of her. I just rescued a little 1.8 lb chihuahua, my 3rd one and she’s sitting on me right now and seems to be nice and warm and content.
