Recommended full-bodied & smooth Multiple Infusion Teas (MITs)
1. Which full-bodied & smooth teas are recommended for multiple infusions?
2. Which of these MITs are still full-bodied after the initial infusion?
3. What’s the maximum recommended number of infusions that still provides a full-bodied cup of tea? Thanks!
http://www.majaniteas.com/ White, Green, Oolong all have at least 3 full bodied infusions…I am not sure how many equally bodied infusions, but all are smooth (as are the 2 blacks). I usually steep until there is no flavor, so I think of things in the process slightly diffrently after that point, but have gotten 5+ from the white and 7+ from both green and oolong
Ah, also Shang tea, both I have tried. Jasmine, and Golden Needle king. http://www.shangtea.com/ both have many bodied infusions too.
any pu-erh sheng or shu will take multiple infusions gong fu style at least 5 times. some of these i have gone 10 or more with a yixing or gaiwan. usually the color lets me know when it is done.

Since I have no previous experience with these types of teas, are there reasonably priced MITs you recommend as being both full-bodied & smooth? Thanks!
a menghai, haiwan, cnnp or yiwu pu-erh tea will take nultiple infusions. for a smooth one i would recommend an aged sheng from one of these producers or a shu from any at 2 to 3 least years old.

So Rooibos and Mate are not generally considered Mits?
i have no experience with those types so i would be unable to help you.
I just sampled greens from both Rishi and Little Red Cup, both had at least 2 bodied infusions.
Anyone else wish to chime in?
