Tea allows you to take your time

and enjoy life. You will wait for the water to boil. You will enjoy sipping hot tea. You have to slow down and smell the tea. Anyone else agree??

Amen, sista, amen!

As someone with chronic depression/anxiety issues, I find taking the time to make and enjoy tea is a nice way to settle down and take inventory of the day. :P

I also have severe anxiety and am a recovering alcoholic, and tea completely slows down my pace and lets me breathe. I work in mental health and substance abuse so I need PEACE during my day to keep me positive and a combination of tea and Steepster does that for me :)

More like forces you to take your time, but not force in a bad way, but like..“Ok in order to enjoy this, you’ve got to relax.”

I always look forward to coming home and having a cuppa, especially after commuting on the (mostly awful) bus.

I think that somehow coffee promotes “rushing”. Notice how most people drink coffee to stay awake, get energy, etc. But very few use it to relax.
Tea, on the other hand, has an image of calmness.

I start my day with tea for this exact reason. I find that if I take my time to have a nice cup in the morning and relax into the start of the day, then the rest of my day is that much better. Granted, I may have to wake up 30 minutes to an hour earlier than I would have to otherwise, but it’s worth it.

I enjoy that it ALLOWS, but doesn’t necessarily FORCE you to take your time. When I’m home, I do enjoy focusing on making and drinking the tea. But I’m also a firm believer in throwing the crap together while I’m on the phone at 8PM for work tomorrow, then guzzling down over a liter of it between 7 and 930 am.
