Seasonal?

Does the weather influence what tea you drink or at what temp?

As far as flavor, I’ll drink whatever I’m in the mood for. Luckily I love white tea all year round so the large amounts that I drink in the summer help lower my body temp. As for the temp of my tea, that is affected more by the temp of my body than the outside temp. If it’s 90 degrees but I’m comfortable in an air conditioned building (or freezing cold in a hotel lol), I’ll go ahead and drink hot tea if I’m in the mood.

I tend to drink piping hot tea year round. I think it has to do more with the ritual of brewing tea in a teapot and getting to pour several cups each sitting. My palette changes somewhat depending on the season. I like the spicey masala chai flavors in the Fall and Winter, and enjoy more of the fruity flavors in Summer. Not a fan of licorice or anise, but pretty open minded with most flavors.

I can’t stand licorice, anise, or fennel either.

Nope, I’m a virgo. But then again I don’t believe in astrology anyway.

Yes, I will drink whatever I am in the mood for, too. I wish Candy Cane Lane was available all-year-round, for example

I drink both hot and iced tea all year round. Its more about what I feel like in that moment that determines hot or iced for me . Sometimes I’ll really need to hydrate and have a few glasses of white iced , and in the morning I always always have steaming hot black tea with a splenda and a splash. I love tea soooo much ..just really got into it when I had to stop coffee permanently because of my stomach. Well its wonderful drinking so many different types of teas all day long…coffee is BORING and not nearly as healthy or tasty as we all know ;) .

White tea! I love Adagio’s cucumber iced. Have you tried coffee flavored teas? Yum!

ummm I dont think so.. what kinds do u like? I haven’t tried the cucumber yet cuz I couldn’t get past the smell and tossed it (free sample many months ago) but maybe I should try it out..

You TOSSED it? That makes me cry! lol. Yeah the smell of the raw leaf is pretty bad, but it’s SO worth it to steep it. I especially love it iced. The only 2 I’ve tried are favatea.com’s Cafe Latte Black which has bits of coffee bean in it and teagarden.com’s coffee oolong which gets it’s flavor from being roasted like coffee beans. I wish I could find a cheaper version of this. REALLY expensive, but VERY MUCH worth it!

Usually I save the fruity stuff for summer when I need to ice it down. Heavy, dark tea with vanilla/cream/spice flavors once the weather turns.

It depends on my mood, which is pretty unaffected by the weather. I live in California, and we don’t see “Seasons” quite as much as most places. I also spend most of my waking hours at night, and my bedroom where I do tea is pretty consistent. So, it depends on if I’m having a good day/night, in a crappy mood, feeling sensual (not in the sexy way), or celebrating – I’m planning some Pu-Erh for tonight.

So does that mean you’re in a crappy mood? LOL sorry, couldn’t resist. :)

Hot all year round, but I will also have a pitcher of chilled slightly sweet herbal tea and/or mugicha(which I drink hot as well) chilled going in the summer.

As for kinds of Tea I use my core stash all year, but get more focused on florals in spring and early summer, I get a bit mint obsessed all summer, and chais are my focus in fall and winter.

I drink mostly iced, all year, but will have more hot tea in colder months (or when I’m not feeling well). I do favor fruity teas in summer and heavier ones in winter, but I can drink chocolate, vanilla and currant pretty much all year.
