Harney and Sons NEW Blueberry Green Tea!

I am pretty excited! I haven’t ordered tea in a while and out myself on a ban until I drink up some of what I have, but I saw this on Facebook. My tea party guest who comes every week loves blueberry more than anyone I know, so I decided I was “allowed” to order this because it is really for her, and besides I was ordering a birthday gift, too, so I got free shipping at the $25 mark. SQUEEE! Has anyone else ordered it or tried it yet?

I haven’t ordered it yet, but I saw it on Facebook, too, and added it to my H&S shopping list. I love blueberry tea, and Harney does fruit teas amazingly well.

oh.. I don’t think I’ve tried any of Harney’s fruit blends yet!

Their Black Currant and the Ginger Peach are both very nice.

I may try that new Harney’s blueberry as well. I love their black current and pomegranate oolong. I think they may have it at my local Barnes and Noble as well. The thing I like about going there is that I can buy a cup to drink of the Harney’s while there and then know whether or not I want to buy the entire canister. Only problem is …. their selection is limited.

Cissystix: I ask for two teabags to go, not made into tea! That way they charge me for a venti tea and I make it myself at home, under optimum conditions, and I don’t have to taste paper cup!

Now that is a great idea! Thanks for sharing that one! I will give that a try!

I did make myself take several things out of my cart! I kept putting things in, and then I thought about how I now have six stash locations and decided I really have to pare down the amount of tea I have here before placing any big orders! This one intrigued me, though, and since there are my 30 sachets, I figured it will be gone very quickly once I serve it for tea day and share it with a friend!

I went to Barnes and Noble just to get the Tropical Green Tea to try. Then I grabbed the one with coconut, vanilla and ginger. And then I saw the blueberry green at the register. Impulse buy!

I thought it was rather good. The blueberry and vanilla were both there, natural-tasting, and well-balanced. They didn’t compete, and one didn’t overwhelm the other, which is good, because I’m not always a fan of vanilla in tea. I will likely buy another can when this one runs out.

To be honest, I didn’t want to futz, because I had a dry cough and headache plaguing me, so I just did the microwave thing, brewing it in the microwave as the water heated. I know. That’s pretty close to sacrilege. But it was still a very good mug of tea. I’m looking forward to trying it in my other impulse purchase from the weekend (the esteemed Breville One Touch).

Did you taste lemon? I think the description said there was lemongrass in it, too. And a Breville One Touch! My, my, sounds like a great start to the week. :)

I didn’t really taste lemon. I did taste a little bit of floral. I figured that was the cornflower.

It was a great start to the week. I ventured into Bed, Bath and Beyond figuring they couldn’t possibly have a Breville on display. The moment I saw it it went from “madly want” to “gotta have”.

Ooo, cornflower? This is going to be good!

What? Barnes and Noble has it? I didn’t think they would carry it since they don’t have Royak Wedding or Tower of London! Now this terrible part of me wants to run buy a tin at the bookstore so I can have it NOW! I can always use two tins, right? Or drink one and gift one….right? Right?

Right! :)
