Offer FREE shipping to the US, and very competitive shipping rates to Canada and elsewhere.

New Mexico Tea Company has free shipping on ANY sized order! And Red Leaf’s shipping is the cheapest I’ve seen, though it isn’t flat rate.

I love NMTC, they sell in 1 ounce sizes and every order gets a very generously sized (half ounce) free sample!

Adagio is $3.75 shipping.

That hurts my brain. It starts at ~$28 to ship to Canada. ;__;

Yeah, their out-of-US shipping costs are awful.

How are some companies able to offer such low shipping prices to Canada while some are prohibitively expensive?! Is there some secret shipping hook up?

Small
Cavocorax said 2013-02-04 12:02:21 -0500

I don’t know about the rest, but Adagio uses UPS instead USPS and that’s why it’s so ridiculously high. :/ I wish they had a slower option, but maybe they’re concerned about duties or lost packages.

Harney and Sons is free with a $25 purchase, no coupon code needed, until Feb. 13, then it goes back to free with $50 purchase. They run this special pretty often, so always google for codes and special offers!

Not sure if these are updated for the new costs, but The Tea District claims flat $5.00 shipping for US, and $6.50 to anywhere in Canada and Mexico.

I think you have to do free shipping. It’s such a must these days with the competition. I know I personally shop based on this. I’ll discover a site and first thing I do (before even looking at their teas) is look at the top of the page to see if they offer free shipping. I really like 52teas and NMTC’s model of free shipping with every order. Option 2 or 3 for sure

curiouser and curiouser! hahaha ok. that’s a nice insight.

im more of a compare prices per company and then look at the shipping cost. then look at the totals. kind of shopper but that method does take more time than average.

but yeah, given the same quality of products and similar pricing, i would go with the free or free with minimum shipping too ^^

would love to hear what other think of this also
