Vegan Food Swap/Traveling Box #1
I feel like I’ve been neglecting this thread. But I’ve been trying to avoid knowing what might be in the box when it comes to me…! Looking forward to it!
I have the box and will be mailing hopefully tomorrow :)
I’m so excited! I admit, I still have shopping to do for Azzrian, but all of my procrastination has been good because I keep thinking up new ideas…

I have done about half of my shopping, Ordered some things online that I can’t get locally but also hitting up our local shop today or tomorrow. Its fun because I am able to send a few of my own favorites and also learn about new ones not just in what I may receive but in what the person I am sending to enjoys! :)

Hey TEB-They are awesome aren’t they! They do this version of Almond Joy that is way better and fresher tasting. I remember you mentioning that you had a Wegman’s by you. They might carry them there. They carry them at our Wegmans. Its in the natural section but in the candy area of that section.

OHHH MY!!!! Wow, I just received the box and am officially the happiest vegan ever! Thanks Kasumi!!! Can’t wait to dig into all of this yummy food! Got a chance to read everyone’s notes too, which was very interesting to see how the items changed hands. I will be taking pictures of the final box for everyone. Also, I was thinking, maybe we should do a master list? This might be nice for anyone that is interested in expanding their food selection but may have not received the items or may have not participated in this swap. What do you guys think?

I’ve already had the seaweed snacks and most of the sushi rice. My hubby was so excited for the sushi rice. I always pick up the brown and black rices, so this was a nice change. After dinner I had some left over rice, so I just dumped in some unsweetened coconut milk and mangoes. So yummy!
I’ll try to have a master list in a day or two. Azzrian had brought up the idea of maybe doing a second round with this box. Is anyone interested in that?
Sure thing! I thought we could get them circulating again – no problem! I’m still working on getting a 3rd box going, too!
I would do another round. I hope I didn’t make any enemies by including an item with refined sugar…I know how us vegans can be. ;-)
Talked to Kasumi and we are on for round 2. I should be able to get this box out next week! Yay!
Any other thoughts on whether we randomize or keep the same order?
I think it might be fun to randomize. Also, we wouldn’t have to worry so much about coming up with all new items to include.
I am excited for the next go around – I just found some new favorites to share!
