I got a Verdant box: 4 red lotus tea cups, a piggish amount of Zhu Rong, Some Zhu Rong Chai, Vanilla Citrus Spice and some samples

Can’t wait to read your reviews! Enjoy!

apt said

Is Zhu Rong that good? How does it compare to other high end Dian Hongs? What about Yu Lu “Yan Cha” or the famous LB?

Awesome! Lol, piggish is such a word I can relate to ;-)

MzPriss said

The Zhu Rong is really truly that good. I ordered a LOT. It is different from the LB, but I like it just as much. It’s really deep, smooth, malty, sweet.

@TheTeaFairy – yes! I know you can relate to it :D

Uniquity said

@Mz Priss – How do you steep your Zhu Rong? I’ve gone through 2 ounces and have 2 more but I don’t find it as amazing as others do. I want to though!!

I got a really thoughtful swap in the mail from EvaGrimm today. I am excited to try these. Thank you!

@Uniquity I steep a big heaping teaspoon per 8 oz of boiling water and I steep it for around 4 minutes. I loooooove it

Uniquity said

Maybe I’m not putting enough leaf in. Or time. I’ll keep trying!

I’m always guilty of being a “heaper” and I almost always go that extra minute on a black tea.

OMG Y’ALL BEST MAIL DAY EVER! All my things came at once and my two of them came early!!

Left to right, there is my teapot and cups from David’s Tea. This is my first tea pot! And the silicon grips on the cups look like cupcake wrappers. SO CUTE. Slightly behind that are my mint plants ordered from Amazon. I got lavender mint, chocolate mint, and strawberry mint. I’ve named them Huey, Dewey, and Louie. To the right, I have MOAR TEA: quangzhou milk oolong, vanilla orchid, shooting star fruit, bamboozled, and pom tango. Lastly, I have my first perfect mug with whales and I love it so much. So. Much. Excitement.

Not pictured, but I also got a super generous swap from Cheri!

Awww, such a lovely tea day, so happy for you! The mint looks awesome, and we are now teapot twins!!! I have ordered that set six months ago and I still love it, the cups are wonderful. Enjoy everything?

Yay teapot twins! I like it even more now :-). I actually haven’t even used anything yet lol. I was so excited and needed to tell someone, but no one understands my tea excitement except the lovely people on Steepster! But so far everything is totally living up to my expectations. And the mint smells so good!

My Yixing pots from Enjoyingtea arrived today. They are so nice! One of them came in a gorgeous presentation box, too. I like how they include complete instructions on how to prepare the Yixing pots—how complicated, but good to know! They also include a few different samples of tea in adorable little tins.

That’s just great, enjoy :-)

Mandy said

I got a cute box, but no instructions. Did you get all loose leaf samples, or a mix of loose leaf and bagged? I got a box of teabags as a sample, and I’m wondering how good they are.

Which teapots did you get?

Thanks, TheTeaFairy!

Mandy, the instructions are on the postcards from Enjoying Tea—not in the box itself.

Shadowfall: I got the Bamboo and the Plum something. They were only about $8 each, and they are quite nice. I am looking forward to using them. I love the texture and the sound of the red clay when the lids rub on the pots. Is that weird? ;-)

I received a really nice package from Stacy at Butiki for winning a round of 20 questions, with an ounce of red queen cupcake and a nice selection of samples.

And

A small adagio order which I made in support of their decision to offer reasonable shipping to Canada.

Congrats, glad you won ;-)

The Red Queen! Delicious :)

I got lots of stuff in the mail, yay!

A box from Butiki with an ounce of Nutmeg Cream, and samples of Caramel Vanilla Assam and Blueberry Purple Tea. Fastest shipping ever, thanks Stacy!

Samples from Nina’s Paris – Japon, Taurus, and Earl Grey (not something I would have chosen but free is free!).

My Harney & Sons order! I ordered samples of: Golden Monkey, Tippy Yunnan, Yunnan Golden Tips, Genmaicha, Bancha, Japanese Sencha, Sencha Scent of Mountains, Lung Ching, Gunpowder Green, Tower of London, and Vanilla Comoro. They also included free samples of Japanese Sencha (lol), Dragon Pearl Jasmine, and Organic Green with Coconut Iced Tea. Hooray!

Nice!! :D :D

Very good mail day :)

That’s an excellent mail day!! Enjoy :-)

Tippy Yunnan was just gross:(. Be extra careful not overleaf, maybe 200F. Do 1 min. It also very hairy. I had a mouth full of fuzz. Harney was always a hit for me until…good luck

boychik said

Now I’m thinking maybe rinse first.

Thanks boychik. I’ll keep that in mind. They’re all samples, so even if I find it gross, it’s only a $2 loss. :)

boychik said

Oh sorry, nice haul. Enjoy!!!

Thanks! Just have a hankering to try Chinese blacks and Japanese greens lately. :)

boychik said

It was sample for me too. I had to brush my teeth after. Could not drink anything else. Just me.
