Official *What did you get in the mail today?* Thread!!!
Yay, my Verdant order arrived! Laoshan black, anxi fo shou, autumn harvest laoshan green (I think my bff will like this more than me, based on sniffing the leaves), laoshan village chai, ginger sage, chocolate phoenix chai, sample of jasmine flower.
So far? Fancy teas = interesting and require deep thought. :)
I just had that laoshan village chai this morning and it’s awesome! Enjoy!!
I’m drinking the chocolate phoenix (i did eenie meenie miney moe!), and it’s so far not my favourite. I’m going to try the laoshan village chai during my next study break.
I got a package from Starfevre with 3 teas from republic of tea, a raspberry rose hibiscus, a hibiscus key lime, and a hibiscus vanilla apple. I really like the vanilla apple, haven’t gotten to trying the others yet though. <3 Starfevre :)

Laoshan Black haaaaas arrived~~~~ Just hope I didn’t overhype it too much in my head. xD Gonna get some brewing. It came with a sample, Flowering Jasmine Green. Have no idea what I’m going to do with it though, ‘cause I don’t want to toss it, but I have nothing to brew it in… Guess I’ll just hold onto it just in case I get something suitable someday.
I worried I had overhyped too, but then I loved it! :) it’s so complex…
I got the flowering tea as a sample too, and I haven’t figured out what to brew it in either! I guess that’s why people buy glass mugs.
Thanks for the suggestions. :) I guess you get swept up in the tea stores telling you you need a blooming pot, haha. I’ll rummage around in my cupboard and see if I can find something. I really would like to try it; it’d be two firsts. My first flowering tea, and my first jasmine. xD
That flowering tea is pretty tasty, but it’s not really a jasmine tea. It’s a bit misnamed in my opinion. You should definitely seek out some jasmine pearls if you want a real intro to jasmine!
Ah okay, thanks for the suggestion. :) Is there a particular vendor you recommend?
Teavivre’s are great and I believe you can get a sample to try so you don’t have to invest too much. :)

I’m also obsessively tracking my 52teas order of the S’mores Genmaicha… it was accepted in Wichita on the 13th, and hasn’t updated at all since then. I’m a little bit sad about this. :/

I got my first ever Butiki order today. Very excited. Quite impressed with how quickly this got to me. I got:

Finally received my Milk Oolong from TeaCuppa.com after over 1 month…YAY! Also received the Russian Tea Sampler (set of 5 tins) from Kusmi Tea as a surprise from my husband. Wooooopeeee, More Tea!!!
My swap from Ysaurella arrived, as did my swap from Courtney! (so much for getting to 150 lol)
