Today I got a big order from David’s Teas, mostly herbals to make into iced teas but a couple of blacks and a puerh as well. I also got my Pique Tea subscription box. The only thing I dislike about the Pique Tea subscription box is they don’t vary the contents. They are very convenient for work but they are the same every month.

Received an order from puerhshop.

A full 2016 Zen Red Yunnan Fengqing Black Tea Cake (puerhshop brand)
a sample of 2005 Yiwu Mansa Ancient Tree Green Pu-erh Tea Cake and a long table runner/tea linen for my windowsill at work where I have my work tea sitting.

There were a couple interesting samples tossed in the box as well.

I came home from a 10-day exodus working out of state, and it was like tea Christmas! My big order from W2T, another box full of Japanese Green Tea samples from Yunomi, this time with more Gyokuro, and two tea swap packages from a reddit exchange! There is no way I can justify ordering anymore tea right now, so I need to get sippin!

Nice, What-Cha is a UK vendor, correct? I wonder how his international shipping is?

Rasseru said

free above $39

AllanK said

That’s pretty good. I may have to put in an order one of these days.

Rasseru said

ask on here before so everyone can chime in with some good ones to choose as there is such a vast amount of tea ive never heard of. Stuff like the antlers, which is just the stalk, and I dont know if youve ever had the zhangping mini cake but the lighter coloured one is gorgeous (dark one is great too).. etc.

nepal pearls & vietnam red buffalo are also classics

They look amazing and I’ve placed an order. Couldn’t resist adding Mystery Tea to my order, what an excellent idea! I’d have really liked some of the tea that comes in a rotten melon, but it was out of stock.

Rasseru said

Nice! what did you go for? theres a lot to choose from isnt there

Moanerette said

Ha, can’t remember right now, but will post when it comes. I think two oolong 50g packages and four 10g samples. Really impressed with their geographical range in particular.

I got a bunch of samples from white2tea yesterday!

Matu said

Get some of the 2016 stuff?

elena-z said

Mostly, both poundcakes, bosch, fade, teadonotlie and some aged white tea. I decided that it’s time to get over that shipping cost :)))

Matu said

Awesome! :) I ordered a buncha (samples of) the 2016s – all except a few of the most expensive. The shipping is scary, but it becomes less scary in comparison to the rest of the order as it gets bigger ;)

Ooh, hopefully I’ll get those soon too, I had nearly forgotten about them

They look very interesting. Five generous samples, sheng, shou, and black tea. Old sheng too. I think it was 1998 and 1999.

This might be a good place to mention.. Make sure you’re shipping is trackeable. Sometimes it makes sense to pay a few ectra dollars for speedy shipping. If your package gets lost (Noooooooo!) With traditional post, you might have to wait months before the store can do anything.

AllanK said

Almost all shipping from China comes with tracking, even the cheapest. Some shipping from Canada comes without tracking. In general if a Chinese company tells you they shipped without tracking they probably didn’t ship it. Even the cheapest packages from China come with some level of tracking.

After being quite happy with the 2 700ml Hario teapots I have (one for home, one for work) I picked up a smaller 300ml Hario.

As the wife and I have been having proper tea sessions using smaller cups and multiple resteeps, I expect that the smaller 300ml pot will work better.
