Well it came in the mail today and was also my birthday present… A new Bonavita gooseneck variable temp electric kettle for my home gongfu brewing sessions! So excited!

I have that kettle and I LOVE it!! I got it for Christmas and it is seriously my favorite kitchen appliance. I hope you enjoy it!!!
I love that it actually reads the temp of the water inside the kettle so when you put it back on the base after pouring you can know exactly how much the temp has dropped! I am also super psyched about the ability to hold at whatever temp I want for an hour… perfect for gongfu!
Yes the only plastic inside is up at the top where the handle attaches but the water never touches it. No plastic “window” either.
Well now, yesterday (May 2nd) was my birthday too; but I didn’t get anything! Happy belated birthday, great gift.

I’m quite happy how quickly the tea arrived (priority shipping) for $4 ish shipping price. I wish they had smaller sizes, but happy they have samples sizes to try!
Got my first order from Imperial Tea Court today, a nice collection. The Purple Bamboo is delightful, the dry leaves smell like dried granny smith apples.

Yay my swap from Courtney arrived via someone else in the part net building. Mailman tried to give my tea to someone else! But it made it back to me :) best part was it made for surprise mail in the evening well after we’d already checked the mail heh
