Nice I did not realize you offered points for purchases. Is this new?
Heck I didn’t even know we could make an account until recently! :)

It is new….I placed an order from the old site and didn’t get points…then few days later placed one on the “new” site and did.

Cool it encourages more orders for sure! I will have to go look and see how the points can be used.

The points are good towards gift certificates—making them redeemable for anything really. It’s just easier to make them good for gift certificates.

Oh, yeah, we also have gift certificates now, and you can send them as a gift to someone, if you have their email address. =)

I saw those! Good work on the site Frank!

And thank you for offering points!

Thanks. I’m most excited about the waiting list feature. I’m getting LOTS of good data about which blends to recreate now.

OMG! YES! Been looking to make my monthly tea purchase and couldn’t settle on where/what…. THIS IS PERFECT!

Anddddd order PLACED.

I felt like there weren’t as many teas to choose from this time, but maybe the new website is throwing me off :-/

Just ordered…Can’t wait to try them:).
GenmaiCHAI
Cinnamon Roll Honeybush
Chocolate Malt Honeybush

I ALMOST got the chai but I couldn’t find reviews of it, so I passed… I got the chocolate malt mate though yum! I didn’t think about the cinnamon roll, though, darnit!

I also flip-flopped on deciding whether or not to get the chai, but eventually decided not to get it. I’ll have to keep an eye out to see what others think.

I so didn’t need to place yet another order…but what the heck, I did it anyway:
Black Currant Bai Mu Dan
Pancake Breakfast
Chocolate Malt Honeybush (I already have one of these on the way, but I go through honeybush like crazy, and I have a good feeling about this one)
Walter Bishop Tea (I already made 2 pots of this since yesterday’s order arrived, so I couldn’t help but order another one of these)
Cranberry Ti Kwan Yin

I’m stoked!

Would you recommend the Walter Bishop? It didn’t get the best reviews, so I passed… Also, anybody else: would you recommend cinnamon roll?

I like strawberry pie better than the cinnamon roll, though i enjoy both. I managed to get through the strawberry pie much quicker than the cinnamon roll because it was soooo cinnamony. the strawberry pie has cinnamon but balances it out.

Hi Madeline Alyce

Both of these taste like their honeybush base, but in very different ways. If you don’t like honeybush, then neither will change your mind. The HB base is blanketed with the flavors rather than being smothered (if that makes sense?) If you like fruity (specifically strawberry) flavored teas, I do suggest trying the Walter Bishop. I’ve tried the Strawberry pie HB and the Strawberry Rhubarb HB, but I like Walter Bishop a bit more so far (although I will have to do a side-by-side comparison to be certain).

As for the Cinnamon Roll HB – it is undeniably cinnamon, but it took me a while to find the baked goods taste. I just got my second pouch of that one yesterday, so I’m going to try to let it sit to see if a bit of extra curing helps the flavors meld. I finished my last pouch of this at least a month ago, so I’m going from memory for this one. I remember I enjoyed this HB, but it took a little longer for me to decide that I liked it enough to order it again. I think I was initially disappointed that it didn’t have more of that baked goods taste. But then I figured out a trick that draws out the flavors a little more. I left it steeping overnight and drank it cold the next morning – and viola! the baked goods taste emerged.

I must insist on saying that I’m a big fan of honeybush, so I do have a bit of a bias, but hopefully my thoughts are still helpful to you?

Yes they help! I’m considering Walter… is it more tart or cream?

Sorry for not replying before the end of the sale, I didn’t see your message till just now. It’s not really tart, but it’s more of a straight-up strawberry flavor. The creaminess is there but it’s not as obvious.

I wanted to place another order, but it looks like the discount has expired…Bummer!

Sil select said

are you sure? it’s on until Sunday. the top of your cart should give you the actual price before the discount, but your cart should show the discounted price at the bottom.

Got it! Thanks Frank…

My software defaults to only allowing 1 use per customer. But I changed it from 1 use per customer to 99999 uses per customer. But if you’re going to take advantage of the 99999 uses, you’ll have a busy weekend of ordering, because this deal ends Sunday. =) Thanks for your business, everyone.

Just placed my first order- so exciting! I was not sure which ones to pick, so I read the reviews here on Steepster, hoping they would help me narrow down my choices. Not a help- every one I picked had good reviews! I ended up just getting every one I picked!

Azzrian said

Haha that had to be a big order then! :)
