Not that I drink Teavana tea at the store either....

Why doesn’t the Teavana tea I brew at home taste like it does at the store?

I don’t find this to be much different than when I get tea brewed at other tea stores. I find Davids tea also puts almost double of the tea in for a cup, then what they recommend you use at home. Starbucks is the same.

Maybe it’s because I’ve never tried a sample from their stores, but their blends have never seemed weak to me and I got a ton of them in the Heavenly Sale and as xmas gifts.

I actually tend to not prefer the tea samples. A lot of times they are too sweet! I’m also the type of girl to ignore instructions and just do it by taste. If I did try the samples, and bought the tea based on it, yeah, I’d be annoyed too.

if it’s their samples in store those are sweetened immensely.

In store things are usually brewed in the right water temp with the right steep time.
