Steeping help

Hi, quick question!
I bought an oolong from a store today. And I didn’t get any steeping instructions and I wonder what you guys recommend. The color is a dark green, and it is called a golden oolong if that helps. Its a tea shop that has no info online, so I need some recommendations. It is high quality too.

I usually start with about 1-2 min for the first steep

Hmm. I tend to do oolongs in my gaiwan, so 80 or 90 degrees C and first steep of 45 – 60 seconds, see what happens. Increase temp and/or time with subsequent steep. If I am using a mug, I go 80 or 90 C and 2 – 3 minutes. I judge by the colour a lot of time, heh.

In both cases, I use approximately 1 perfect TSP of tea, so they both result in different tastes.
