First Local Tea Swap With Meetup Group

I was super excited to see that there was a local tea geek group that has swaps on occasion and meetups at various tea spots. I was so excited that I offered to host one this Saturday, which isn’t much notice for people, but it’s the only day I have available until April when I offered to host one again. I’m really hoping people show up!

Now to sort out the tea for the swap!

Anyone else have local tea groups that they meet up with?

I swap with a couple of people at work (we’re the ones always dumping big wads of tea leaves into the communal sink).

That is rather convenient! I’d love to have that set up.

I don’t know of one in St. Louis, yet!
What a great idea though!

Have you checked on meetup.com? That is where I found this one!

It went well! Two people showed out of ten signed up, which isn’t bad for a two day notice! Next time I’ll be able to give more advanced notice and hopefully get a better turn out. They were both impressed/stunned with my collection. I got to try a couple new teas and introduce them to 52teas, Della Terra and Ovation teas. It was great to get to geek out on tea with others face to face. One guest is from South Africa where his grandparents were involved in the cultivation of tea there by the British! I’d love to hear more sometime on his family’s tea history!
