Has any Steepsters heard of this company? It’s a direct sale loose leaf tea home party enterprise that was on Dragon’s Den. Curious if anyone has bought their tea and what it’s like.
I have tried some of their teas. A representative had a table at a trade show. I did not like any of the samples I tried or smelled, not because they were bad, just not my taste. The pricing seems reasonable for loose leaf tea. If you go on their website you can look up representatives near you.
It’s all over my Facebook feed – friends hosting tea parties. And yes, the pricing does seem reasonable. Perhaps I will have to order 50 grams if something and try it!
I own a few, some I adore, some not so much. I’m looking to start selling, just waiting on the extra money for the kit.
My favs so far,
Lime in the Coconut
Wowzers! Your list is almost identical to what was in my cart earlier! I had Carmello on my hit list too. So you are interested in selling Steeped Tea as well?
Yup I am.
I didn’t care for Creme Carmello, I found the rooibos was too overpowering.
If anyone has any further questions or has additional feedback about steeped tea products I would be to discuss further. I am a independent consultant for Steeped Tea, tea lover and addict :) Cheers, Happy sipping!
I’m curious about Steeped. I got the name of a local rep because I heard about the cherry pie tea. So I may just order that. But then I saw on their Facebook page that they have a deal where you can join for $99 and essentially be a sales rep — but I assume with no minimum requirements, just perks if you do sell a bunch. So I’m curious: are there indeed no minimum requirements, so I and my friends could just get together an order here and there and perhaps get enough for a perk or discount?
And it looks to me like the $99 deal is not that great a deal compared to the regular $150, because they switched out the teapot for it and you don’t get the mod stainless steel one. I don’t have much storage space, so if I got a teapot I’d want the mod one.
I did see a bunch of teas in the catalog that sounded good. Then again, Teavana sounded and smelled good to me but I didn’t care for almost any of it. I’m a David’s Tea fan (and not familiar with some of the other favorites in this group).
Anyway…..any info appreciated. The $99 special ends today.
I’m sure others have differing opinions, but my 2 cents is that you can get just as good if not better quality teas for comparable and even cheaper prices elsewhere. I got the email as well since I had looked into doing this at one point.
The email I got made it sound as if you could just do the $99 deal and not even have to bother with being a rep if you didn’t want to. But, since I am not a rep and no longer have the email from the consultant who contacted me, I can’t swear that that is indeed the case.
I have not tried their soap or their rubs either and the fact that you get those and the pot, etc. along with this deal probably make a it a pretty good deal for the price.
Thanks, Nicole. Yeah, depending on how much tea is included in the samples, the $99 package doesn’t seem bad — as long as there are no strings attached. I had wanted a cold steep jug anyway. Then again, I could get a jug at Bed & Bath (any good?). I don’t need honey sticks. I don’t need soap (Lush obsessed). If the seasoning were the bergamot dressing mix, that’d be worth it. I have several measure spoons already. And if the sample teas are a bunch of green or white or anything but herbal, rooibos and black, I would be stuck with yet more samples I don’t want. I tend to go for package deals and then find there’s a lot that is not useful, so perhaps it wasn’t worth the “savings.”
I know this is an old thread, but I recently started getting into steeped tea myself. I used to be all about DAVID’s tea but I’ve been shifting away from teas with candy, fruit bits, artificial flavouring, etc. and more into “natural” herbal teas (like peppermint, ginger, lemongrass, honey bush, etc.)Unfortunately DAVID’s doesn’t offer too much of that but I really like steeped tea’s “wellness” herbal blends because they have all natural ingredients with no artificial flavouring. I find they have decent prices (except for straight peppermint and chamomile tea-I can get that at DAVID’s for a few dollars cheaper). What I do is I look online at Steeped tea’s catalogue and I found a consultant and whenever I need to get more tea I just message/call her and order what I want and I pick it up about a week later when it comes in.
