What's your favorite teacup?

Although I am still in search of the perfect mug/cup for myself I have been using the Asian style tea cup from David’s tea. Got it 50% off at the airport and it works perfect for me. I just wish the inside was white so I could see the color of my tea better. but overall its a great tea cup. http://www.davidstea.com/portal.aspx?CN=80E8CE8D27BA

I hadn’t seen those! Looks like it would be great, except as you said for the colored interior.

I forgot to mention that the lid doubles as a coaster for the infuser. And it hold quite a bit of tea.

Nice! BTW, just took a look at your blog, and I like it!

thanks. Im glad you enjoy it. I try to update once a week. Not always about tea…kinda random ;)

are they working great ? i was going to buy some but lot of review seem to say they because way to hot to handle

The cup does get a bit hot to the touch. However the rubber ring in the middle(black part) helps keep fingers off the cup. I also dont drink my tea super hot so I usually steep it in one spot then remove the infuser and lid and let it sit till it reaches a drinkable temperature. but yes it can get a bit hot the cup

I go through mug love phases. For a long time my faves were my double walled mugs, maybe 8 or 10 ounces, so the beau and I could enjoy a small pot together. Of course, I smashed one so now the other is used infrequently at best. My favourites for the last few months are my Japanese Latte Mugs from Davids. They had them once before but I couldn’t justify it at $50 for 4 mugs. When they came back last fall, they were $20 for the 4! The beau got them for me for Christmas and I use them most of the time. I also have a pair of Hungry Caterpillar mugs that my Aunt got me a few years ago which I like.

At work I use my Glass Perfect Mug every day and also a Quotables mug with an Alice in Wonderland quote on it. I have a dishware obsession, maybe.

I also Use a double walled glass Mug from teavana. They are awesome to drink out of, unfortunately they are also incredibly delicate! I wish I could find a mug that won’t burn my hands and offers the neutrality of glass?!

I love all this teacup and mug obsession. I am liking this website! Makes me feel less weird or at least like there are others just as weird as I am. :)

That’s why I love it here. There’s no judgement about my tea obsession and there are people who are interested in the same thing I am. Steepster is awesome! =)

I’m in love with the Japanese style cups which hold about 6 oz. I own several that I bought on a trip to Japan. I prefer a rustic style, and have a couple of tea pots that more or less match.

I don’t actually have anything in the way of a “teacup” yet (for shame, I know) but I love collecting fun mugs. My favorite mug ever is a big cream colored mug with a blue inside that has a picture of Winnie the Pooh with the quote “Nothing to do, nothing to do. What a happy thought”. It makes me so happy that every cup of tea I drink from it somehow seems even better! _

Though I am currently in love with the cup I posted about at the beginning of the thread, if I ever find a mug-style cup that holds 8oz max (so that 6 ounces looks perfect in it), I will buy it! I have English-style teacups that size, but I really prefer the look and feel of a mug.

Well at work I brew in a double-walled green ceramic Kati cup (from Tea Forte), but at home I have a larger selection! And I can’t pick a favorite, I love them all.

First, I have two small mugs that are similar in style. They are very thick ceramic mugs that hold about 6oz. One has ravens dressed up in English beefeater uniforms and says “Historic Royal Palaces” on the inside… I got it at the Tower of London. The second one I actually got at the Harney store in SoHo NYC but it is also a ceramic of British origin. It has pictures of different British Birds all over it and says, logically, “British Birds” on the inside. Found a picture of the second one online! http://www.chessellpotterybarns.co.uk/emma-bridgewater-british-birds-baby-mug.ir?cName=emma-bridgewater-birds

Then I have my peeking owl mug. It’s big, so if I don’t want to use my teapot and just steep a sachet in there, that’s what I go with. http://www.modcloth.com/shop/tabletop/beau-tea-ful-surprise-mug-in-owl

Finally is the newest addition to my collection, this mug from Teavana with Taiwan Yuhinas on it (NOT cardinals). It holds 8oz. http://www.teavana.com/tea-products/tea-cups-mugs/infuser-mugs/p/cardinal-infuser-mug

(If you couldn’t guess, I have a thing for birds)

Awww, that owl mug is so cute. My sister is an owl fanatic, I’m sure she would adore something like that if they get it back in stock.

Love the owl cup too!

The last mug looks splendid. We love colorful mugs, floral themes, but we can also accept birds as this mug truly looks fantastic.

I am absolutely in love with my perfect mug from DAVIDsTEA, the one with the branches. Love it.

I also love my little bubble cups that came with my awesome teapot that my brother got me.
