We're giving away FREE samples of Assam teas again!
Need your opinion. Somebody decided to get cute on our website and registered 8 times, each under the same name with a different email address. Assuming they were serious, I guess they figured I wouldn’t notice :) Should I even respond to this individual, or just laugh it off?
That’s just an abuse of generosity. I think to laugh it off would be wrong. They’d just try again with someone else. I would email them and ask if they realized what they did. Kind of passive aggressively letting them know that you know what they tried to do. I wouldn’t even send them a sample. I know that seems a bit harsh but bad behavior shouldn’t be rewarded.
Trust me, they’re not getting a sample. I was just trying to decide whether to confront them or not. You’re right though. I’m sure they’ve done this before or will try again.
I agree, it is an abuse. And people who do that can sometimes cause companies to not want to put up a generous offer again, ruining it for the rest of us.
The sad part is I think people that do stuff like that get away with it more often than not. I’m glad you aren’t sending them a sample. And don’t be discouraged with that kind of behavior. It’s the few not the many who will try something like that.
That’s hilarious! I mean that they thought it would just slip by unnoticed. Some people, ugh.
You could thank them for their interest in your teas and then suggest that they purchase your round the world sampler pack since they were so interested in a all of your samples! Sort of lets them know your on to them and reminds them that you are running a business not a free tea charity.
that makes me sad a little since we’re lucky enough to have a tea company who is willing to let us try things without cost. This is why we don’t get the nice things! lol (i kid about the last bit but it does make me sad to see)
I actually didn’t know about you guys until just now. Nothing leaves a good impression like being introduced via free stuff haha! I’m really looking forward to trying this, thanks.
We started on Steepster late last year and have recently been focusing on getting our message out (who we are, what we’re about, etc.). For me, a free sample is the best way to do that. It’s not free for us, but we like to think long-term :)
Just shipped the latest batch of samples yesterday! Some of you may already be getting your samples from last week.
