I always wanted to post here!
But our apartment was so cramped that I couldn’t make a space. Luckly I just moved so now I have a whole section for my tea! Couldn’t wait any longer so I took a picture with my phone…

There is tea behind most of the teatins, and a box full of tea in plastic bags.
I’ll set a “after” picture later when I have a better cam and organized it again.

That looks wonderful. Wonderfully organized, and a very nice storage place too.

Thank you! I think so too… but I wonder if it’s far enough from the window. I don’t want the sun to ruin the tea.

By the way – I wish I had your cupboard full of envy your tea looks amazing!

Thanks!
As long as you tea is in sealed containers, and not clear bags, it should be fine.

Now that’s a serious tea cupboard.

I LOVE this thread!

I have an entire (large) cabinet in our kitchen designated as my tea cabinet—-no one could ever believe that I would use so much space for tea things. (It’s so nice to finally find a place where I am not considered odd!) ;)

Obviously, puer is stored at a different place normally, I placed it there for completeness sake :) The boxes on the right (“Hilltop” and so on) actually contain tea from JK Tea Shop Online.

Very cool. Verdant Tea and Teavivre! That black box-like tin in the lower right corner looks very stylish.

Small
Azzrian said 2012-05-26 18:50:34 -0400

Where is the tea to the right of the verdant from?
I have yet to get a tea cake yet…have to find a pu-erh I love enough to get a whole cake of.

Small
Zeks said 2012-05-26 18:53:59 -0400

It’s unopened Gyokuro Superior and Sencha Fukamushi Superior from Hibiki-An. I am still waiting for containers to arrive from JK Tea Shop so I don’t have anywhere to store it in and Japanese tea deteriorates much faster when opened.

Azzrian said 2012-05-26 18:55:01 -0400

Oh thanks Never seen the packaging before. :)

Small
Zeks said 2012-05-26 18:56:48 -0400

Yeah, it’s kinda different from anything I have ever received too :) It’s really cute but, sadly, not resealable.

Small
Azzrian said 2012-05-27 15:22:42 -0400

Bah not any good being cute if they can’t be reused once opened – bummer.

The stuff in the drawers are samples – to the right are swap samples – to the left are purchased samples and swap samples from David’s Tea.
The basketed stuff is still that I have not moved to perm stash yet or waiting for canisters.
The teavivre and verdant is hidden below along with run over stash that is for refilling the small canisters and some other teas I am not reordering but only a few of those but just no other place to put them.
Oh and the mismatched walls – sorry about that we are mid painting – going from the reddish brown to yellow. :)

Small
Zeks said 2012-05-26 18:44:18 -0400

Sooo much tea :) And here I was, thinking that I would not be able to drink all of my stuff in any reasonable amount of time and so should stop purchasing new tea for a while >_< There must be some serious decision making going on in the morning :)

Small
Azzrian said 2012-05-26 18:49:09 -0400

I am going to have my husband make one of those huge spinning wheels with all my perm stash teas on it – then just spin to select the tea LOL seriously I thought of that last night :)
Yeah it is a ton of tea. I like to do trades though so its good to have extra :)
I also keep my entire family supplied with Iced tea – my mother and uncle are iced tea hounds!!! They will stop by randomly during the day and during their lunch since I work from home asking for refills so I have to have about 5 iced teas steeped and ready to go at anytime. They don’t get to go into the lower stash cupboard though! :)

Small
SimpliciTEA said 2012-05-26 19:01:37 -0400

My goodness, that is a lot of tea. I love your ‘huge spinning wheel’ idea (if it’s what I think you’re thinking of, it’s called a ‘Lazy Susan’).

How great that you are the go-to person for tea in your family!

Small
Azzrian said 2012-05-27 01:34:27 -0400

Thanks :) Actually I was thinking more of something like you would see on a game show LOL it was one of those silly Ah HA moments!
Although your lazy susan idea is good! I could put a collection on there and see what I grab after I spin it :)

Small
Alphakitty said 2012-05-27 03:22:16 -0400

Woah, impressive! You have it all displayed so nicely too, mine is just stuffed in a cupboard. ^^; Putting it on a lazy susan would make it a lot easier to get to, I think—plus, you know, the fun of pulling a “mystery tea”

Small
Azzrian said 2012-05-27 15:10:10 -0400

Thank you Alphakitty. I will have to figure out what size of lazy susan will fit on my cabinet and how many of my mini canisters I can get on one. I think it would help in the ways mentioned!

On the cupboard door is a colour coded list with all the teas that are in the cupboard for easy finding. Each jar has the tea name, type, description & steeping instructions.

VERY nice !! So if someone wanted to really drive you crazy they could reorganize it all right? I love that tin! I wanted to get one but they were sold out.

Small
tattooed_tea said 2012-05-29 19:35:57 -0400

I would literally go bananas if anyone even moved a tea. My cupboards (tea included) are the only place that I can have MY organization, due to little ones running around.

Mine’s grown a little since the last cupboard thread. The Adagio box in the right hand corner second shelf is used for mostly samples and some bags. I have a few Verdant and Teavivre teas but they are in either the jars or the tins. I’m not a big fan of keeping the bags they come in around, so I usually transfer them. If they are small enough though they will go in the box.
