what to do when your tea is cold?

I LOVE making tea… but sometimes I forget that the cup is there. When your tea goes cold… can you reheat it in the microwave? Does it change the flavor?

Your hot tea has become iced tea! At least it has in my office because it is so cold in that building. :P

About half the time I drink it at room temperature because for some tea, especially some flavoured tea, that is when all the flavours pop. I assume those would be the ones that would be good iced, but I don’t like iced tea. The other half of the time I put it in the microwave for a minute.

That is totally true! I didn’t notice it but you’re right. I guess there is nothing wrong with drinking it at room temp

Depending on how strong the tea was, and how much is still in the cup, I will sometimes add more hot water.

If the tea leaves are no longer there I see no reason for it to change flavor unless you boil it, because then you will decrease the water available.

I keep drinking it. Most of the teas that become staples/ones I restock are ones I am willing to drink at any temp.

Some teas I actually prefer at room temperature. If it’s not one of those, a 30 second zap in the microwave doesn’t hurt, in my opinion.

Ah yes, I totally agree that some teas are better at room temp!
