Interesting to see everyone’s favourites. Mine are still a work in progress, but for now:
Norbu Tea – Lao Cong Zi Ya (black tea)
Norbu Tea – Ya Bao (white tea)
Fortnum and Mason – Keemun (black tea)
Verdant Tea – Laoshan Black (black tea)
Verdant Tea – Master Han’s Wild Picked Yunnan Black (black tea)

There are a few more that I would have liked to add if the limit wouldn’t have been five teas:
Norbu Tea – 2011 Winter Ali Shan 1200m elevation (oolong tea)
Norbu Tea – 2011 Spring Norbu White Buds (Sheng/Raw Pu’erh)

Since I can’t just say everything from Teavivre, I will try to pick one from five different companies.

Jasmine Dragon Pearls – Teavivre
Peach & Apricot – Empire Tea Services
Earl Grey – Ahmad (I know its not the best and I don’t care)
Superfruit Sencha – Fusion Teas
White Monkey – Zenjala

I thought White Bud Puerh from Vicony Teas was also awesome.

Very tough assignment. My list changes from month to month depending on what I’m in the mood for. Not long ago, I craved Earl Grey every day. The 5 I am listing today have withstood the test of time: Yun Nan Dian Hong Golden Tip (Teavivre), Golden Monkey (Teavivre), Premium Taiwanese Assam (Butiki), Royal Golden Safari (Butiki), and Caramel Matcha (Red Leaf). Other Teavivre and Butiki blacks would be included if I were doing a top 10. I also have a few favorite greens and oolongs, all from Teavivre and Butiki, but blacks tend to trump oolongs and greens for me. I have some favorite flavored teas from several different companies including Teajo, S&V, H&S, Butiki and even Teavana.

Looking through your tasting notes, I bet you would enjoy the Nepal Mist Valley from S&V. Very tasty.

Steam Tea house organic hathikuthi estate assam

Lover’s leap ceylon, although i don’t have a current supply. I used to get it every year in the bulk bins at the health food store in Vernon, BC. So it’s definitely not the fancy expensive ones I’ve seen online!
Della Terra Orange Brulee oolong (new to me, so I don’t know how long i will love it for!)
Verdant’s ginger sage winter spa blend
Ooh, and Silk Road Golden Phoenix, which was the tea that originally sold me on tea over coffee. :)
