Nice stash you got going on there! I’d be afraid to see what mine looked like out in the open like that!

ditto. Mine would be quite scary and take awhile to put back onto my tea shelf.

ya mines spread out over 5 boxes at the moment

You have a very nice collection! I see you have a lot of Argo Tea in your stash. How well would you rate them?

The Argo Teas I’ve originally rated low, since they were my first and I didn’t want to rate things too highly without feeling I had some scope to the way things ‘should’ taste. i still believe I’m horribly under-developed in tea tasting, however, that being said. There’s a few of the Argo Teas that stand out as quality to me. The genmaicha is very good. Other blends of genmaicha I’ve had just don’t seem to have the same amount of roasted flavor or ‘warmth’ to them. I really like the hibiscus apple, it’s just a very sweet flavorful tea. Charitea is kind of the same as hibiscus apple, it’s just got a nice fruity flavor to it, but, it can kinda come off tasting like cough syrup if you make it too strong. Carolina honey is another very good one, but, it really does taste much, much, better sweetened.

A good number of the rest are kind of meh, or disappointing. The oolong formosa didn’t really excite me despite oolongs being kind of my favorite at the moment and the earl grey creme wasn’t horrible, but, it wasn’t as exciting or flavorful as some of the other earl grey’s that I’ve had.

Some I can’t comment on just yet, cause I prepared them wrong, or haven’t experimented enough to believe I’ve gotten the best taste out of them. The masala chai I seriously screwed up on, using 2 tablespoons gack in a 16 oz cup. I nearly died. The green tea strawberry and green tea cinnamon orange I just can’t really pull out the flavors and I’m not sure if it’s me or the tea.

Thanks, this helps out a lot. I’m still exploring flavors and I was looking into trying some of the Argo Teas.

Sweet! I’m jealous. Ive been into tea about as long as you and my collection isn’t that big (I have pictures in the “show your cupboards” thread). I’m too poor and also have to face that “look” from my husband every time a new box arrives.
