That, plus the fact it spits like mad when pouring out … a really bad design and use of inappropriate materials.

That is awful. I left one on the stove,and it boiled dry. The enamel melted onto the burners. It was embarrassing. I have never had a non-enamel one. Sometimes it will sprut out the spout onto the cup and counter. I do not know why. It does not always do it.

Yeah they usually guarantee their cookware. If it just spontaneously started melting they should replace it for you.
